The wick and kiln are fantastic base layers and I always have one of them on depending on the weather. I live in my Klamath once it gets cool enough to wear one. Their cuff merino beanie is my favorite hat also. Those are easily my top First Lite pieces. You basically can’t go wrong with...
UGQ gets my vote. I'm 6'4" 220ish and very wide shoulders, so normal mummy bags are too snug for comfort for me. I have a XLong/Xwide 20 degree quilt and I've never slept better outdoors. On my back, side, whatever, I was always comfortable. What sold me on them was their dynamic tension...
I've been using the C1's but decided to step it up to the $1000 range of binos. The B1.2 10x42's 362 ft FOV makes me VERY interested. I was set to pull the trigger on a pair of Zeiss Conquest's, but now I might have to wait and see what people say once they check these out.
I fit well in the Corrugate Guide in large but had to go with the Solitude bibs in XL. I could fit in the large, but it left no room for layers which defeats the purpose of a pair of bibs.
I feel First Lite Corrugate Guide's excel at this. I squat and deadlift so I have decent sized thighs and these fit excellent. They're stretchy and have a very nice taper to them. Some have described them as Hammer pants, and while they're not nearly that extreme, they do have a larger cut in...
First Lite's Achilles heel is wind. Nothing they have is good in windy conditions. I have a thin wind shirt that I wear under my Solitude on windy days that helps, but it's still annoying.
Is it just me, or does the Aerolite sound significantly louder than the Kelvin Lite? I handled it a bit in store and while I wouldn't mind wearing the KL for archery, the Aerolite is a definite no go for that in my opinion.
I live in my Arcteryx Atom LT during cool/cold weather both while hunting and through daily life. I've had no issue with noise while archery hunting. They usually have at least one color in a neutral tone (brown or green) suitable for hunting.
Speaking of another product Black Ovis related, has anyone had any experience with their Hailstone rain gear? For the price, their pants with a 3/4 zipper and stretch seem quite ideal.
I have to say I'm actually a fan of their larger thigh measurement and tapered leg. It makes layering a breeze and ensures no binding when squatting, crawling, etc.

They just dropped the Catalyst Foundry pants.
My initial impression: I like them but I fail to see the reason for full length side zips on your primary pants. It's not like they're rain pants you'd take on and off...
Now I'm wondering what size I should go for. Are these vanity sized like most jeans are? Or does it actually measure true to size? That stretchy waistband on the Corrugates was nice for not having to worry about it.
I've had a BRS stove for ages and found it a little finicky in windy conditions, but I've never even considered combining it with the Jet Boil pot. I'll have to do some measuring and weighing to see if it'll be worth it. The pot itself is still fairly heavy when compared to a titanium one.
