That gets a little messy making people think they can eat as much food as they want as long as it’s “healthy” …it’s still calories in vs. out.. yes MOST people would see progress to just cut the junk..
a lot of what is pushed as “health food” today is high fat ..yes most of these are healthy...
Again., I agree with a lot of what you’re sayin dude.. but restricting certain foods and controlling portion size is the key. Period.
I def agree if you are saying most people don’t have a clue what a “diet” actually is or where to start and they restrict way too much and typically fall off...
Like mentioned in sure it would be nice to have em all.. but if ur buying 1,,, 12x42 is the most versatile. If I was guna buy a second pair i would want a bigger gap.. like 18 or 20x… dream situation is BTX that adjust from 20-40 with 12x
My first few attempts at wearing merino led me to swear I was a synthetic guy for life. ITCHY city with some brands. Eventually gave first light a try and that’s all I wear now. Love their merino. You can literally wear the compression shorts or long sleeve for days in the back country and not...
Running eats ur legs. Thats prolly why you haven’t made progress. I’m guilty of this at times as well becuz I love an occasional run. I would say limit the running to 1 mile for speed. Try to PR weekly. Shorter faster runs less often. Try it for a few months. I bet your legs get stronger.
I’d have to STRONGLY disagree with the statement of
“you don’t get into better shape by restricting your food”
That’s exactly how almost everyone does and should start getting in shape. Everything else you said is great. But the “can’t out train a bad diet” is a fact.
eliminating or...
2000 cals is not enuf food man.. you are guna wind up plateauing if you haven’t already,, or be struggling and capped when you could be building a little muscle while still losing fat on higher cals. Would much rather see you increase activity/steps on higher cals
That’s exactly my train of thought buddy thank you ! Would like to hear if there’s any downside to this,,, they are only a few oz. Differnce.. leaning hard this way..
In the market for a new bag. Currently use an REI magma 15* … love the bag and honestly it’s great for most my hunts. Could be a little taller and wider (I’m 6’ 200#) It seems more like a 30* bag tho..I’ve actually gotten a bit chilly in 30-40* weather if there’s wind a few times… I’d like to...
I’m only 6’ 200# and have benched 385# dawG.. hehe.. pointless tho.. rather do 2 plates for high reps anymore.. but anyway just messin with ya this thread made me laugh. I have pretty wide shoulders and def feel like I need a wider bag.. been wanting to try a quilt myself, a lot of people...
It’s not a race man.. make lifestyle changes to make this a permanent thing and not a YoYo. Figure out foods you enjoy that help you meet ur goals. sLOW and steady fat loss is best or you will lose muscle. Aim for a pound a week unless you are HUGE
I vote for a basic 5x5 barbell type workout every other day.
Squats
Deads
Rows
Overhead
Bench
Get some TRX straps or adjustable DBs and add in a little bit of high rep bodyweight stuff
Ok now let’s cling to the redic low % of weirdos that are freak athletes and could be a champion off gummy worms and poor work ethic that for some reason like high fat. Or we just go off the 95+% that run high carb low fat
I saw Fritos, slim Jim’s, packaged lunch meat that’s half real,, lame bars with terrible macros,, a few other things. That was the processed junk that backs you up yes,, but even healthy fats in your diet will SLOW digestion even if it doesn’t back you up.
And for the record most of those...
those all sound delish,, and a great back country meal. The bang for ur buck calorie to volume wise on nuts is terrible for someone tryn to lose weight was my only point,,
little different than all the processed junk food people were talking about above. Butter and olive oil both will make you...
