JBiggs, I just switched over to a thumb release for the first time as well from triggers. I wish I would have done it sooner. I gave in and bought a Nock2It off of here actually and its been great. To be honest it has brought back the excitement of executing a perfect shot back. I have also...
Recently moved down to Savannah and have been trying out little lots here and there and have had some good activity on cameras, but only a few encounters. Friday night I decided to try a new spot Saturday am. I usually don't like hunting a new spot in the am since you dont really know the area...
Anyone interested in trading a compound for my Custom Sarrels Archery Blueridge longbow? My recurve has put this longbow on the hangar and it hasn't been shot much since then. Figure if someone was wanting to try out a well made longbow perhaps a trade could be made. Not looking for anything...
Thanks guys I am pretty pumped about it. Something about these old guns that really speak to me.
Rodney, It really depends on how old it is and what condition. A lot of the ones on GunBroker range from anywhere to 600-1200, but I would say deals are to be had for a nice condition rifle in the...
Sure is. 30-30 Win. Perfect for southeast timber. A little higher then I wanted to pay, but getting your hands on it and not paying an FFL fee made it worth it. There were only 3 that I saw at the whole show that were pre-64. The other two weren't in good shape and asking just under what I paid...
HAHA that is awesome. Your welcome! I just left a gun show down here in Georgia and am the proud new onwer of a excellent condition 1951 Model 94! Rifle opens up next weekend down here.
Bob, thanks for the help. I definitely would hold on to it if I were you. Like AKTrout said his is still huntable 100 years later. Sure would be neat for it to be passed down in the family. I know If I would have received a gun like this when I was younger I would have been stoked. As far as the...
My Tikka 7RM loves 160 Accubonds. I tired Barnes 140s, Factory Nosler Partitions, Factory Barnes 140s, and loaded partitions, but the accubonds have been the best so far.
A little different approach, but I used these NRS Kayak dry pants to walk around Alaska with. Kept my clothes and feet dry. I hiked quite a bit in them, but they are on the loud side and you will get some sweat pending how hard you hike, but then again what rain gear doesn't. I would imagine...
Silver, Thanks for the offer but looking for a .30WCF or 30-30.
AK Trout, thanks. I have read your thread on yours. Looks like it will do just fine in this new age. I almost closed a deal on one a few weeks ago, but I drug my feet a little and the owner realized he had a nice rifle and decided...
WJS- I'll check that out.
Timmy- Yeah I am watching a few on there. Just wanted to check here before I did anything on gunbroker. Just looking for the right deal :D
Long shot here, but why not. Does anyone have a set of Mathews Z7 extreme limbs? I have a Z7 that I am working up to have for a friend but have a chip in the lower limb. Looking to get a set to replace the damage one. Thanks
