I was just about to pull the trigger on a MR Selway 60 but I am seeing that it is discontinued? Is there another pack that is comparable in the same size? Maybe a new model coming out? Input and insight appreciated.
I have hunted with the first gen Viper PST 6-24x50 (MOA) on top of a Savage 111LRH in 7mm and it worked well.
I have no experience with Zeiss but I have always been satisfied with Vortex products. There is a lot of Vortex hate out there and everyone has different opinions and experiences with...
@Ellensburg (tagging you to skirt the debate above) there are a couple sites that show you places that accept crypto, below are a couple. Overstock.com accepts payment in Bitcoin. If you have other currency, swap it for BTC and go for it. Overstock has some random optics...
You're a bit out of the way but I went with Westminster Arms when I set mine up in like 2014. They were pretty helpful if you would like to go be them a shout
What I would suggest depends on your rifle, barrel- particularly your twist rate. 223/5.56 can be finicky with twist rates and different weight bullets.
My brother runs a TA-55 ACOG on his DSA :ROFLMAO:
Your assessment about the weapon is spot on- trigger takes some getting used to and its heavy, but they're definitely shooters
@Rob5589 I will give the Athlon line a look. Haven't heard of them. I know I will be really annoyed if I spend good money on a scope for it to not to work. Thank you!
I own a couple vortex optics and the only time I have had an issue with one was TSA related abuse and just required a quick re-zero. What happened to Vortex quality? Does Zeiss make a FFP optic similar to the PST gen II 5-25? I was leaning toward Vortex as they offer a pretty good first...
Some Glocks are easier to make that happen with than others. Sights are a factor but it's not a huge feat. A 34/17L can make it happen easier than let's say a Glock 42/43.
Depending on your needs, there are a few Vortex scopes that could be what you're looking for... I think the Diamondback Tactical series could fit the bill for you. I can't speak for or against SWFA
I understand. I have segregated by headstamp and only run certain brass in certain weapons but never have gone as far as weighing individual pieces for that level of consistency. For example, I have a Savage model 12 that only gets fed one load with Winchester brass, and it shoots 5 shot, single...
@Joseph28, for coyotes are you limited to non-lead projectiles? I know everything I looked at hunting when I was stuck in the Central Valley was restricted to non-lead rounds. Lots of flat shooting areas out there. Sorry you can't really take advantage of an AR platform for this project
a 223 (I run a savage model 12, 1:9, 60gr V-max loads) and its been devastating. A lot of guys swear by 22-250, 204. I like the versatility of the 223 and I have several of them already so its one load. Heavier animal? Soft Points. Lighter animal? Ballistic tips.
