The advertised weight was a few onces more then the 2 crispi options however on my feet they had a lighter perceived feel. The leather uppers are softer and have a more broken in feel out of the box the toe box was roomier in width and height than both crispis however the softer uppers trade off...
I desperately wanted to like the crispis with all the hype they get here but the Valdres and Dakota neither felt at home at all on my feet. I went Danner Crag Rat which were on sale on amazon. They felt really good for a leather boot out of the box, im still breaking them in but have been...
I just tried the valdres and the toe box was far too narrow but they seemed like a decent boot. I think I would have been happy with them had they fit well.

Was ready to do some hanwags from there but found terrible review after terrible review online scared me and I needed boots quickly.

I just tried two pairs of crispis and the toe box volume was off on both not just width but height seemed really cramped.
Went with a different boot company for my foot shape. Seemed like great boots though

Yeah don't want to void any warranty by using the wrong brand.. I think danner sells a gel
I was gonna try the cream since they are a soft leather I thought it would soak in better. The snow seal I used on a pair or stiff lowas

I have a thing of crispi boot cream from when I thought I was going crispi and some snow seal. I will probably treat them next week before I start hunting them

Yeah I plan to do a write up because lack of good reviews is what kept me from ordering them for a while. The crispis were great they just didn't work for my foot shape.

I just picked up a pair of the crag rat USA boots. They fit my feet better then crispi's and feel better then my lowas.
Can't comment on much until I get some hikes and hunts in them.

I ended up with a Pair of Danner Crag Rat USA bought through Amazon. My thoughts below on what I tried
Crispi Valdres
I wanted to love both crispi options but alas they did not fit my feet. The Valdres were just too narrow in the toe box and after an hour of inside wear my pinky toes were...
I'm not 100% switched over the the zero drop platform, I asked topo to make a mid version their 3mm drop hydroventure 2. I run in the terraventure and it's the bomb.

I think I made the issue worse by switching my daily sneaker to altra and my trail shoe to topo. Now that my feet know what a natural open toe splay is like they just won't tolerate being jammed into something over confined.

I can't use rubber boots the narrow heel of mine always gets blistered no matter what brand or size.
I sent the valdres back and ordered the Dakota to try but just incase they also don't work I got a 2 pairs of danner crag rat USA in different sizes, a UA Bozeman 2.0, and a set of Cabela's...
I spoke with Crispi this morning, the valdres is one of their narrowest toe boxes, he agreed that a wide might end up feeling a bit lose in the heel area. We came to an assessment that the Dakota would the best bet to try next.
is the valdres a bit narrower than other crispi models.
I think sizing up will be too long, a wide might not fit in the heel. I need a bit more room at the toe box. I'll call today and see if the Dakota might work better on my feet
I got the crispi valdres today, wore them around the house and am getting pressure on my pinky toe just on the right foot. Messed with socks and insoles but couldn't really clear it up.
I have a feeling a wide is going to be too wide at the heal and cause lift. I'm almost tempted to buy a boot...
I grabbed a pair of lowa leather lined Baffin Pro's once for $60 here. the size is a bit wrong but i have never had a hot spot or blister when i size it up with 2 socks so were they worth it. Yes, wore em for a week in Idaho and they come in handy from time to time here in the east just a bit...
Thanks, and Id bet the 3 flex of the guide and the valdres feel different based on the thicker leather, weight of boot, height, lack of abss, and insulation level.
Boots are so unique to the individual and when there is virtually no where that I can try on most high end boots it makes for a...
