    Texas hill country

If you like fishing it is a pretty good place. I can be at the coast inshore saltwater fishing in 2.5 hours. There is a bunch of duck hunting at the coast on public land, but I have never tried that. You will need to have a friend with land or get on a lease. They are not cheap and usually...

    Cabelas Alaskan guide tent

I was close to getting one, I ended up with an REI Base Camp 6. I was put off by the setup and the rounded floor. I feel the base camp has more useable space. I have ridden out 70mph gusts in the Base Camp with all guy lines attached.

Wall tent stakes for logging road landings

Yes, I had some 14" bolts in a rocky West Texas ground, I was setting up two tents and the battery died with about 2 left to do. I had a few metal stakes I finished with but had to use a socket set to remove. That was the only time I have had it happen, I now bring 10" bolts to that part of...

Kodiak 10x14 Flexbow Deluxe, First Impression

I bring an impact drill and 14" lag bolts, I use these to stake it down and it works in no time flat. It takes me under 15 min to setup or takedown.

I am 6' 200# and the 20 seems too narrow, I would hold out for a wide.

    Grand Canyon Backpack Trip

We are going to do the corridor. I want to be on the first shuttle and be at the river by 10, the following day be on the trail before 0600 and the same the last day. I am hoping for some monsoons and cloud cover. I did a few years in AZ and I remember August not being as hot, but it has been...

What does everyone put under there sleeping pad?

I use these. They hold up better than the solid silver ones. https://www.amazon.com/S-L-Survive-Outdoors-Longer/dp/B07Z5H98R7/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=sol+blanket&qid=1621820558&sr=8-5

I have only had my Kodiak in the 20s with a Buddy heater. I have read several reports here and other hunting forums of folks running heaters and keeping warm down to zero. i am not sure what you are trying to accoplish with the insulation? Are you using this tent in temps way below zero...

    Wendler’s 5/3/1 Results

I did Starting Strength first, then I moved to Wendlers 5/3/1. I felt I had better progress with Starting Strength. I have been doing it for 6 months but I was coming off a back tweak when I started. Once I started running distance my lifts fell off a cliff.
