    130 TMK. What to build?

I do like the simplicity of grabbing a Tikka 6.5. I have also looked hard at a Tikka CTR in 260 Remington. I could have my smith Ackley it.

    130 TMK. What to build?

So I have read the 130 TMK is a monster of a bullet. Sounds like something to build a rifle around. Tikka Action with an 18” barrel and a suppressor. Max yardage will be up to 600. What would you / have you built? 6.5 Creed, 260 Rem, 260 AI? What velocity are you seeing and with what powder?

    1 Bullet for Western Hunting

From your experience is there much of a difference in wound channels between the 147 ELDM and the 108 ELDM?

6mm Creedmoor or 6.5 Creedmoor for Western Hunting

I have thought of doing just that. I figure the 6 Creed and a 223 would cover the vast majority of my needs.

6mm Creedmoor or 6.5 Creedmoor for Western Hunting

I am currently waiting on a Hyperion K. So the gun will have a suppressor. I agree from a cost perspective the 6.5 makes more sense. That extra money I save could go towards ammo. From a reloading perspective the 6.5 offers more options.

6mm Creedmoor or 6.5 Creedmoor for Western Hunting

The one advantage for me currently that favors the 6mm Creed is my friend and brother both shoot one, so we can buy bulk ammo together.

6mm Creedmoor or 6.5 Creedmoor for Western Hunting

So I have a 22 Creedmoor to hunt with here in Utah. I am looking for another rifle for hunting in states that don't allow 22 Cals. My next rifle will be a Tikka Action, ROK Stock, and Scope TBD. I am wondering if the 6mm Creedmoor is worth the extra cost of building over just buying a factory...

Shooting From Trekking Poles. Have you used Quick-Stix adapters?

Shooting off trekking poles is completely new to me. So I didn't know using the hand loops was even a thing. I will try and mess around and figure it out.

Shooting From Trekking Poles. Have you used Quick-Stix adapters?

They have some other additional products that look pretty interesting that build off the adapters. I will have to give them a try this year.

6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

I heard a good one at my LGS today. Two strangers talking. “I bought a 6.5 Creedmoor but sold it because my buddy said to take that shit back and get a .270. Where we hunt elk in Oregon is thick timber and we want a bigger, slower bullet. “ Made me chuckle.
