Not quite sure what the big thing is with sheds, other then guys making lamps and what not. But the popularity of collecting them has exploded, its just a matter of time until you have to apply for a permit, and pay for a lic. to look for them.
And don’t try using a floor less in Texas ( or southern states) snakes and scorpions were a huge hassle. And the spiders, I have never seen so many spiders. We had to zip clothes bags tight, stuff shoes with paper towel, shake out the sleeping bags and stomp the crap out of bugs every day, it...
Have any hunted with a hand gun, when it’s thick brush and I know my shots are going to be relatively close I carry a pistol ( size depends on what I am after). Or if a bit longer shots, a scoped 15” inch encore of various caliber. I find it far easier getting through thick stuff, and quicker...
It just ain’t red because you just washed the “ nutrients “ out of the meat that has been in contact with the water, and It’s grey and somewhat slimy. I see it every year. They cut the grey meat off and cook it. Nothing wrong with it, just waste more meat. We call it tofu.
Because a 16 inch barrel, with a faster twist, to stabilize the projectile, in a shorter space in time, and a powder that has a much faster burn rate ( not as much powder needed to obtain maximum velocity, also in a much shorter space) and a large rifle magnum primer, is where the optimal...
Then there's argument about if the bullet is not traveling fast enough it won't expand to its potential, or at all,or get enough penetration, or exit the animal. So there's the perfect velocity for that too. Plus you need to know at what range that velocity and that impact are going be in...
Yea iam a bowhunter at hart also, and when I get within 100-200 yards with a gun, I always feel I can get closer. And usually have no problem. Of course that's a pretty easy poke, but I just like getting as close as I can, even if I blow the stock, I ain't going hungry. Now targets I like to try...
It's crazy the differences in posts. This post " it don't matter, 2-4 inches off and 100 or so fps, ain't going to matter one bit". Then go to another post, and guys are worried about a minute amount of BC, 100 fps is huge. Trying a faster powder to try and squeeze the last 20fps out of the...
I don’t mean this to sound rude or smart ass, seriously. But I know it does . But why not learn to get closer to the “ prey”, it’s hunting. And the hunting part seems to be a dying skill. And by far the best part of the hunt ! Now if your family is starving and you need the protein, and there’s...
Now this is clearly a reason to cut barrels and add suppressors. Lol ( but kinda serious, there is a substantial benefit here) Kinda like the gang members and glock switches. But my hunting rifles do not benifit from cutting a couple inches off and or adding a suppressor. A couple buddies are...
Would it not make more sense to cut the lic’s. sales. Seems that would have far better control then trying to convince some not to shoot small bucks, not to shoot does. There are so many different ways to look at it. If every body is after the largest bucks, ( every bodies opinion of largest is...
I carry every where, some times 22 sometimes 380 sometimes 9mm, sometimes 45, sometimes 10mm. Hunt occasionally with a 454 casull or 7mm br. 22 gets a lot of grouse, so yes I’ve used them. Never have needed it against against a bear, but have used about all of them on pigs.
