I’ve used both and exo gets the win here. Still own the EXO and a kifaru. For me you don’t know how comfortable a pack is until 100+ lbs. a lot of packs feel similar at 50. So when trying I’d load them heavy as you can personally.
Solar is worth it IMO. I charge my watch every 20 days or so. The 7 has even better battery life. My wife has a 5 no solar and she’s charging hers every 4 days.
Don’t need any of the above for construction management. Field experience is key. I have a bachelors and masters in business. No matter where you start will have to work your way up with experience.

I use a 15/12 with 6oz/3oz. No issues packing it around. One issue for me was packing a 35” ATA bow one year where string caught a limb going under a tree and derailed the bow. I leave a synum bow press at the truck now for that and find a 33” ATA bow works better for me.
