Straight comedy. As a native Utahn who left the madness 15 years ago for Montana I have had a good laugh at this thread. I Thought my seven years in Ogden were the best years really. Other than anytime I had to drive south. Or wanted to go hunting. Balls deep pow....best skiing in the lower 48...
Some food for thought. Other than meningitis, the sickest I have ever been was from ingesting several lead pellets from a pheasant. The pellets settled into the bottom of my stomach and didn’t pass for about 4 days. I was going through a roll of toilet paper a day. Had no idea what was going on...
Another vote for the drift boat. If your not already a proficient rower go with a high side model. Your dog shouldn’t have any problem getting in or out of either. I usually had more problems with keeping my dog in the boat when ducks started dropping. Wood just isn’t as durable as fiberglass...
First of all ,there’s not a town in Utah that’s as cool as salmon. Move there.
Second...long second, the terrain between the two areas is not even comparable. I’ve killed elk in both. North and south slopes, eventually liked the north slope better with a little less pressure at least on the...
Grandpa had a lot of them. Here’s two that jump out.
1: A fartin man never tires so a fartin man is the man to hire.
2: There’s nothing wrong with the church son, it’s just the sons of bitches that belong to it.
I walked into my local sporting goods store today and got my sportsman tags printed off no problems. When the draw results come out I’m expectin a poop storm
I'm not sure about 502, but every other unit has outfitters permitted and guiding for the unlimiteds. It's not a highly booked hunt though. When it is booked it comes at a pretty high price tag, and most clients know the odds of success are still slim.
I believe the above mentioned outfitter...
I have a Ridgeline 26 as well. This was my second season toting it. I started with a few boxes of the factory 142 ablrs mostly just for the brass stockpile because I am a reloader. I wasn't real impressed with the accuracy, but good enough for hunting to 400. The two antelope I shot at 350 yards...
Nobody knows your financial situation other you, but if you think your going to find something "reasonable" within practically 100 miles of Bozeman you must have deeper pockets than the majority of the rest of us. Maybe Butte, Whitehall. I've been here about 12 years and finally bought a house...
Don't know if it in your budget, but if your really feeling like the ATV is your key to getting it done you could rent one for a couple hundred bucks a day.
Another former guide here, and I'll echo what's mostly already been said. He needs to come to a decision on what he really wants out of life. Through all my 20's I was perfectly happy being broke most of the time and bumping from place to place chasing deep powder, big fish and hunting more...
Kinda wierd question. Why?
Letting go of my filter and coming right out with if you drink soda that doesn't have whiskey in it your not any kind of a threat in the mountains.
Welcome glasshopper! You and I would probably have some fun sharing a few cold ones. I'm originally from Utard and have spent some fine time running cataract and Desolation whitewater.
Well as much as I love southern Utah, northern Utah got to be a joke, so off I ,went for Montana.
Almost 15...
