    Sept elk hunt

I'd find other places to lighten the load. This is for demonstration purposes only: Kuiu ULTRA down jacket: 6.4 ounces Kuiu ULTRA down pants: 8 ounces <OR> Kuiu Peloton 97 bottoms: 4.5 ounces

Not commissioners or governors tags. They go from Aug to July.

    UPS Strike

Congratulations, you just shut down 2% of the global economy and 6% of the US economy because the computers and servers that actually run the business, overheated and shutdown. Just think of all the employees and contractors not getting paid, no health insurance payments being made, no...

10mm recommendation for the fairer sex

    1) The individual should "try on" as many of the 10s out there to see which one(s) fit his/her hands. If it doesn't fit the hands well, move on and ignore the fan boys attempting to ram their beliefs down your throat. 2) There's not *that* much of a step up in felt recoil for me when shooting...

    Thoughts on GPO Optics

It's not uncommon. Texas Pete's hot sauce has nothing to do with Texas nor Pete. Arizona Iced Tea has nothing to do with Arizona.

Crazy Creek camp chair for glassing?

This is my personal opinion... If you want to sit on the ground, save 19 ounces and bring your Z-seat while using your backpack (Or log/rock) for back support (as required). If you want to get off the ground, grab a tripod or a Helinox (or knock off). Outside of sheep (excluding desert...

    Tripod for western hunting?

Best way to upgrade an optic is to put it on a tripod. Second best way is to learn to glass. Then stuff gets expensive as you'll want better optics.

    UPS Strike

I genuinely hope things get sorted out without the customers being hosed too much. Folks would be well served if they remember one thing: businesses pay nothing; it is their customers that ultimately cover 100% of all costs.

    Tripod for western hunting?

It is not about distance but the ability to identify fragments of an animal that is mostly obscured. Guarantee folks are missing out on a lot of animals that are closer due to the inability to identify pieces of an animal unless they hunt in a magical place where the animals are 100% in the...

    Tripod for western hunting?

I use my tripod primarily for glassing with the occasional use for shooting. For that purpose, my Manfrotto 290 XTRA and Slik 635 have been just fine. But if my shooting position of choice was using a tripod and locking it in, then I'd look at changing things up (if I could not get my current...

    UPS Strike

For the time being, that is true to an extent. This is just a snippet of what is going on and this one is very close to home. And for the record this is not a dense urban center such as NYC...

    Best chair for glassing?

Depending on the terrain... Lightweight tripod from BassPro or a BTR is my staple. But I do like my Helinox chair as well. However it does require a firm ground or you will sink.

    UPS Strike

While costs have gone up, net profit has not matched it. UPS net income for the twelve months ending March 31, 2023 was $10.781B, a 0.2% increase year-over-year. UPS annual net income for 2022 was $11.548B, a 10.41% decline from 2021. UPS annual net income for 2021 was $12.89B, a 859.79%...

    UPS Strike

Hope you are right for the benefit of millions of people that are in the transportation and delivery fields. Folks in the US are getting food, medicine, groceries, etc delivered every single day by autonomous objects. Combine that with the wide-spread use of driverless taxis and to a lesser...

Lawfulness of having a dog on a hunt versus using a dog to hunt

Still wondering how a "Your honor, a WKR said it was legal" would play out in a court of law.

    Scope for 375 Ruger

I did take a look. The main issue is the FoV at 41'. Aesthetically the scope is a long bugger; would be 1/3 the length of the rifle.
