Stone glacier 5900 vs mystery ranch bear tooth 80

100 percent grab the small and large hip belt pouches. The large fits a smart phone and 10 rds of ammo in a holder perfectly. The small pouch ia great for snacks, headlamp, and little extras. If you run a bladder, go ahead and get their bladder holder ( i don't use it, but my buddy does and...

Stone glacier 5900 vs mystery ranch bear tooth 80

I attach it to my hip belt by running the two straps through the loop on the holder. I ended up buying a cheapy Outdoor Research pouch that has a velcro loop, and it works out great.

I've owned both and I'll try my best to give you honest feedback. SG Sky Talus 5900 Pros: Simple layout. Xcurve frame fits my body really well. GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

What was he charged with? What sentence was he given? What fine was he required to pay? The guy isn't some law breaking, poaching, land destroying scumbag.

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

LMAO. I'm a big fan of the free F bombs. lol. I'm not saying they go about making money the same way. Brian absolutely plugs for his sponsors, BUT to think that Rokslide isn't making money by putting out those videos and content would be a stretch in my opinion. Yes it's a free...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

I don't think there is a huge difference at all. Maybe I'm off base here, but I doubt ROKSLIDE is putting out hunting videos, and gear reviews out of the goodness of their heart. (I don't know if any of their reviews are done on "public land") It's being done to drive people to the...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

I air on the side of believing him when he says he was told he was in the clear, and then was later told "nope, no joy". Not sure how this is a black eye to the hunting world at all....maybe an ingrown pinky nail but not even close to a black eye. I hope him bringing the issue to light and...

    Best boot warranty

Like some others are saying, go to REI if you're worried about returning boots. They 100 percent have the best exchange/return program across the board. To me, the warranty doesn't factor into my buying process. Buy what fits the best from a company like Lowa, Zamberlan, Asolo, Kennetrek...

    Mountain Mule Deer Hunt Video!

The amount of steel in your marbles to release that video is pretty awesome, especially knowing that you're going to get absolutely shizzed on. I for one dislike any shooting of big game past 300 yards. With that said, i'm not going to pile on any more criticism than what's been said. I hope...

How was your 2020 hunt? Location not needed. More/less deer, more/less people.

Only saw four people during deer season, and elk season only saw one person on the way in while we were packing out. In most units i scout in, the amount of hikers has increased a TON!!! Especially if it's along the PCT of the north cascades. I've never seen parking lots that packed in my life.

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

I kinda feel it's a stretch to compare Randy to Brian. Randy has a production company film him, an Amazon deal, etc. Should we compare to two....maybe, but in my humble opinion, they're two different beasts.

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

I went back and relistened to get the verbage of what he says. This is what he is saying that the USFS lady said "If you're not going to have any direct monetization from your film, then you're not considered commercial and don't need a permit." Brian then states, "My content isn't sold, in a...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

No offense, but it sounds like you didn't listen to the podcast at all. You're comparing yourself as a guide to someone who self films hunts. If you listened to the podcast, he literally explains that he verified with the USFS that he doesn't need a permit, THEN they came after him two years...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

Not sure what you're asking to be honest??? I think the little guy should have to pay something if he is making money off of his content. ( I feel like a $500 flat rate per year would be reasonable) I think everyone needs skin in the game honestly. I think it should be gradually more expensive...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

So you basically want a flat tax in order to use public land? Not a bad idea to simplify the "Permit" issue for the little guy. I do think you need more for a big production company though. The amount of space and resources something large would take up needs to be offset with the money it...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

I applaud your gumption. The issue is that he can't fix it. They won't let him reapply for the permits in order for him to publish the videos in order to increase access to his "Brand" There is zero winning in this situation for him. I applaud him for bringing the issue to light and...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

Would you be saying the same thing if an inspector said everything is above board, and then two years later a different inspector comes along and says " Nope, you're all jacked up, and the last guy you talked too doesn't matter, oh, and everything you've done for the past two years needs to be...

GRITTY - FILM PERMITS - YOUR THOUGHTS?

I agree rules are rules. I think you're making a false comparison with loggers, oil, and ranchers. All of those businesses are extracting a resource that belongs to everyone and needs to be regulated due to some people possibly getting greedy with OUR resources. Outfitters should probably be...
