    I've worn a Cabela's wooltimate vest for many years when treestand hunting. Never when backpack hunting or even day hunting elk. Wooltimate with wind shear is silent and warm. Like I said it's old so I assume Cabela's has screwed it up by now.

    The different cuts of an elk?

    Just wondering. We used to just band saw a few bone-in until everyone started getting squeamish about the spine column. Elk had to be split to fit in most dutch ovens but deer could be cross cut and tossed in for braising. I like bones in with my braising recipes.

    Your points are well taken but it will always be a headache when someone dies unless they spent their last dime the day before and owned nothing. Planning ahead reduces a few headaches for those picking over the remains.
