    Archery post-labral tear, frozen shoulder?

I have two terrible shoulders, one previous surgery and I shoot compounds and traditional. I won't bore you with my decades of anecdotal "data" but something to focus on when you get back to shooting is keeping your bicep out of the draw cycle and use your back muscles. That long head of the...

    Alaska fish timing

I have an opportunity to fish POW in mid-late August. Primarily salmon with some halibut. I have previously fished the area but only in June and early July. Should the fishing in August be better or worse or no different? Weather? I do realize it is fishing so there are no guarantees anytime...

    Investment fund for the grandkids???

I like Marble's ideas which is what I have done. Keep your money, invest it but keep control of it. Put a distribution plan in a trust. Or when the child starts college then just pay for it. Think of it as a pre-death inheritance. I would prefer to give my children and grandchildren some...

Fighting boredom in all day sits.

I limit all-day sits to the rut (November around here). I do read a little and someone suggested handling an all-day sit like sentry duty. No deer is sneaking into my space. If you have ever had a big buck encounter at non-peak times it makes it a little easier to sit thru those middle 3...

    HH Impertech bib sizing

I'm glad you mentioned this. I could not figure out why the only Impertech on the HH website was blue sanitation jacket and bibs. I will never understand the rationale behind discontinuing a well-known and popular product. Well I actually do understand it. It's usually to make it cheaper. I...

    Made It, I'm Retired!

Hunting deer Monday Tuesday Wednesday definitely beats Friday Saturday Sunday with work on Monday. Of course hunting the whole week is nice when the working hunters show up on the weekends to help cook dinner

Things you have noticed in the gym

I believe there is a national news desk just for insane events that occur in Florida. There has to be a drinking game for headlines that include pythons, iguanas, capsized boats at the ramp or cars wrecked at over 120mph.

Things you have noticed in the gym

Too many folks doing barbell curls in a squat rack with 5 minutes between sets was a driving factor in my building a home gym ("building" was really just acquiring a squat rack and a bench since I've had the same milled York Olympic barbell set since 1968) Bro's not unloading bars after their...

    Heated vest experience?

Does the use of a heated vest eliminate a layer in cold weather? Just in case it ever gets cold (it's till pushing 90 here) I would like to maintain the range of motion for drawing my bow. Even if it doesn't eliminate a layer does it actually make a long sit more comfortable? Any suggestions on...

    Suppressor/lightweight rifle question

I'm glad you said that. I probably should just shoot with my new over ear muff plus my custom ear plugs before messing with the rifle. I did some brush hogging (52 hp tractor, no cab) with the ear pro combination and I could barely tell it was running. Thanks for saving me a $1000
