Yes, bought mine off dvor for just over 300 a while back

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

If their warranty was a little more like others, I would send mine in... "This warranty does not cover damage that occurs in shipment or failures that result from accidents, misuse, abuse, unauthorized alterations, theft, modifications and acts of God." I think you'd fall under "act of God"

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Really enjoy mine, although I wish the elevation turret would lock or was capped. Optics Planet/DVOR sometimes sells them sub 400$

    VCRs (Very Compact Rifles)

Same, they had a pre-order like 2 years ago now? If they were available I'd have one, but at this point I think they've missed my boat at least

    ELD VT 174 grain

It follows the VT build profile, but Hornady isn't touting it as a varmint bullet. It's basically the 208 ELDM shell with less lead. So high BC, higher velocity for that BC number, and less recoil. Be interesting to see terminal results on tissue, but should be a hell of a target/match bullet

    IMR 8208 pulldown powder

I just stumbled in to a hell of a deal on IMR 8208 pull-down milsurp powder. Doesn't anyone know if it is interchangeable with the current XBR variant?

Savage 16 - Does Savage still offer this model?

A few years ago savage streamlined their model numbers to all be 110. So technically they still make the equivalent: https://www.savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=57077

WTB Savage short action bottom plastic and trigger guard

Looking to upgrade from the factory stock with molded in magazine well, so I'm looking for a factory bottom plastic and trigger guard for a bottom bolt release. Thanks!

New Rifle / Looking to Hear the RS Comments on this Short List

I have a gen 1 Backcountry in 280ai. Like others have said, you aren't gaining much for the price hike going with the titanium version. The gen 2 stocks are much better as well. It has shot everything I've put through it quite well. I wouldn't hesitate to even shoot a brown bear with it, had no...

The elk shoulder that stopped a 308

I fast forwarded to the 12:30 mark and listened to about 2 minutes of that video, but it seems like those two have the evidence to be confident in letting someone shoot them with a 308 in the chest if they are wearing an elk shoulder vest and think it'll just bounce off... Anyone here with some...

    Savage Axis build?

Just like any of the savages, pretty much plug and play gun plumbing. Just get proper headspace gauges
