    I sat on pad and used left hand on trekking pole for rear support. Not rock solid, missed CBC shot at 667. Think 400 and in would be very achievable. A bigger heavier tripod would help as well of course.

    @Geologist. Is right. With the extended winter this year all the fish should be willing to hit anything. I've thrown pine needles on the water and the Grayling will hit them. Are you going to do fly or spin?
