Also, am I missing something with the 5MOA wind hashes? With my .243 it takes a 20mph full value wind to move my bullet 5MOA at 400 yards.

I really like the Trijicon scopes for a simple 1” BDC scope. However I’m having a hard time understanding their BDC drops on the reticle. It seems to me based on the ballistics from my rifles their BDC drops are for very slow or poor bc cartridges. With the first drop at 2.24MOA, then 5MOA, and...
The different shades/tones of light is new to me. I like the price and reviews of the sofirn lights. Is there a color that would be best for for blood trailing? 4000k? 5000k?

I built a turkey gun off a 20ga Yildiz youth over under. It has a selector switch and I choke one barrel for the normal 30-50 yard shots and the other barrel with IC for when one sneaks in too close. I run a red dot and #9 TSS handload a. The gun is very short and light.

Yes, Harvester Evo. It has a serial number before the recall. Silencer Co took care of me with no issues and I was happy to deal with them and have a scythe sitting in jail. It was a 22” 300wm 1gr below Hornady book max. It was a perfectly clean separation at the weld, no jagged edges to...
I honestly don’t know, it looks like it could have been a failed weld. I couldn’t find the rest of it to verify or rule out a baffle strike. It was scary though.

To be honest my suppressor blew up shooting my 300wm not long after that post and I just received it back. That kinda but a damper on things.

Thanks freaking scary, it honestly makes me scared to shoot this thing again in the 300wm. Worst is I have a Scythe Ti I’m waiting on that I purchased for this particular rifle.

It is a Harvester Evo. It was direct threaded on a gun that had just been threaded. It was till tight when it happened. Obviously my first thought was a baffle strike due to a bad thread job. But this guy has a great reputation and I have verified the work with a rod by a third party. No issues...
It was before the recall, not sure the manufacturer date but it was purchased in April of 22, I took possession in February 23.

Well this is the issue, the original question was rhetorical. This happened to my Harvester after 3 shots with my 22” 300wm. It blew apart at the weld and I never found the other part. I don’t think it was a baffle strike because all three shots were in the bullseye.
To be clear I am not...
Has anyone put a significant number of 300wm rounds through a Harvester Evo? It is rated for 300wm with a 20” barrel I have 22” barrel pushing a a near max charge behind a 208gr eldm. I don’t see any pressure signs and am 1gr below book max. Is this something I need to be concerned about riding...
