Would a savage 16 lightweight hunter (stainless) threaded. It weighs 5.5lbs and is pretty accurate. Its sitting in my safe not being used. Daughter was using it but she now has a new browning speed spr
Honestly, I’d come as light as possible and only bring something up if it doesn’t need replacing. Alaska is a modern state. You are moving to one of the more populated areas. You will have a Walmart. A Fred Meyers. Auto part stores. Sportsman’s warehouse and paved roads.
When are you making...
I currently use a boat to hunt. Joys of living in a river without roads.
I used a kni-co this season simply because it was already out together.
I am thinking I’ll just give the winner well a go. Why not? lol. Everyone needs multiple stoves.
I just have a hard time buying Chinese shit.
But I’m looking at that winner well. Lol
Nortent also has one I’m checking out as well.
I had a Tigoat stove that was different to set up. It used screws and that was even a challenge in the cold. I think what I e learned is not haveing to...
That U-Turn is a pain to assemble. I’ve not tackled one due to Seekoutside mentioning that it can be a challenge.
My next titanium stove will be one that collapses and folds. Even the normal Seekoutside is challenge to assemble when hands are frozen.
For side sleeping I love the Klymit v-luxe. I’ve used the same pad for 8 years. I bought a insulated version last year and used it the past two seasons.
R-value isn’t the highest, and I bought higher r-value pads, but having used the same Klymit pad for so many years in Alaska I’m sold on...
I considered getting a 4x or 6x fixed for my rifle. Went with the vx6 2-12 and it stays on 2x unless we have time. Daughter had it dialed up to 6x for her shot at 250yds.
I just went with a vx6 2-12 and replaced a SHV 4-14 with it. So far it does make a huge difference IMO/E with it.
My daughter took her first moose with it at 250yds with a 6.5cm. Damn proud of her.
I like that 12x max and I don’t need more than 12x but lower end is nice for alders/willows...
