I don't think it is there. I am using N-565 and 156 Bergers from a 24" , 8 twist 5 groove carbon wrapped and just over 3K

I think you will be fine with the 143 or the Berger 156, just wade in slow. For sure the Cutting Edge would be a great choice for the most velocity and no worries of terminal performance. The CEB's are very fast bullets with their low drag seal tight band.

Hmmmm, well since impact velocity is the biggest factor in any bullet for initiation of expansion, I can not explain that one. Thanks

Barrel Break-in...thoughts?

Some things to consider and the reasons I break in barrels is this. Yes most custom barrels are indeed hand lapped. But when? Before contour and final heat treat? Or after all machine work is done? Most are lapped before final work is done. Then we go in with a reamer and chamber the barrel...

My newest 300 Terminator is to new to tell. Just getting it broken in. But all the improved Lapua's I have had in the past both 30 and 338, tuned the same as their non improved parent cases.

Interesting, Thanks for the reply. So what you have seen in your experience is the SGK and Berger is they are not opening under 100 yards and exit holes are same size as entarnce, but work well over 100 yards where they fragment and expand. Correct?

Or, you improve a 30 Lapua and then go ahead and look back at the 300 Nancy improved thats a fair bit behind. ;)

To elaborate on this. Here is what I use. Torch Tip Cleaner And you do not want to enlarge the hollow point. Just assure it is open back to lead. The .027" drill is what I use most. Jeff
