Very cool indeed. I remember reading about the Henrys when I was younger and living in WI. Getting to hunt it myself was a dream come true. Having now also hunted it with my wife just 3 years later is just amazing luck.

You reminded me of my dad's homemade stands. Made from wood and rope. The platform was enough to stand on without moving. And no safety belt. Today they would be considered child endangerment. I am still amazed my dad was comfortable putting his kid up in that thing.

Well, she made it about 30min into the season before she killed one. She got what she wanted out of it and is quite happy. I'll have more details when we get back.
Still seeing lots of deer, just not anything big. My wife will have plenty of opportunities to kill a buck though so should be fun. Heading back in the morning and hunting Wednesday.
Took the wife out to the range yesterday for more practice and she shot well. If we have a good setup she can shoot to 200 yards. If we are rushing a bit probably keep her at 150 yards or less. Heading back out there to scout some more now. Wednesday will be here quick.
Is a check in message just a preset message? Does the .50 for texts apply for outgoing and incoming?
Can you set the check in message or are you limited to what is on the device from Garmin?
