Looking for some courage/advice on leaving a job for a 40k pay cut per year?

I took a 30k pay cut a couple years ago and took a job I loved (playing with guns). It was the best thing I could have done at the time and helped me gain insight to what my path needed to be moving forward which included putting my family first. I did end up leaving that job but there was a...

6mm /.243 hunting success on Big Game

Nah I know of a few people that have hunted deer and successfully used the 87s so it’s not a wrong choice there are just better ones as someone mentioned. The eldm is one of my favorites if you can find a weight that works with your twist.

What age do the kids start carrying packs?

Started my daughter on carrying a pack at about 9. It’s mostly when hiking since we don’t get to do much meat packing out here in TX. Picked up a new pack from Gregory for her this year that fits her well with a 30L capacity

    Female Grizzly Bear #399 Killed

This is exactly what is shown in the documentary I referred to. These photographer people are emotionally attaching themselves to an animal that could/would eat them in the right scenario, they aren’t pets. One of the 399s cubs from her last litter had to be put down because it wouldnt stop...

    6.5 PRC Berger performance

Yeah the 140 elites are freaking hammers. I shoot them out of my 260 and shot a buck with them last year. He went ten yards but the shot was only about 60 and some of the projectile exited. Massive internal damage. To be clear were you shooting hollow point black box or the red tip black box...

    Hornady interlock?

Yeah same here. 165 interlock out of a 308 put a softball size exit hole in a doe shoulder at 380ish yards. You’ll be fine.

Should be posted at every sporting event all the way through high school. The way people act at these kids events is idiotic.

How do you choose a custom rifle builder?

Never said GAP was fast! LRI is only “long” if you are having inletting work done. I was quoted a year on just the inletting. Everything else from them is fairly quick compared to the rest of the industry as a while.

How do you choose a custom rifle builder?

I have more than one off your list and a few more over the years. For me it comes down to how the customer service is honestly followed by quality of product. The short answer is there is no one right answer for everyone. LRIs ability to update customers on the build process with pictures is...
