I have a couple rifles that have not spilled blood. I have a 25-45 sharps that’s BEGGING to be used but has yet to get the nod lol. I lost my lease where I could shoot five deer a year so the number of animals getting whacked is much slower.
Depends on the type of the hunt but I generally pick whatever feels right at the time. I also cycle rifles just to spill blood with them at some point. Now that I think about it I don’t have a favorite that normally gets the nod. Maybe I should figure that out lol
Yeah I feel your pain. For reference both times I was quoted x amount of time and the blank showed up well ahead of the quoted time if that makes you feel any better.
I’ve had to place an order directly with the manufacturer in order to get exactly what I want instead of waiting for a distributor to get some in stock. Just picked one up from Brux and same with a bartlein a while back. Wait was a few months but I didn’t have to worry about tracking one down...

My 243 is limited by the factory mags so I’m no where close to the lands. I have not picked up a m+ mag yet to see if that gets anywhere close so possibly an option. If you are going to ream it out anyway I’d probably go 6cm for factory ammo options in a pinch. If you reload all your ammo and...
Definitely agree. Since Hornady is now making headstamp brass and added the new Atips, I would assume the 25cm will be SAAMI approved in the near future which means factory ammo soon after. At least we can hope lol.
Not for those of us that just enjoy the 25s. I rebarreled my Roberts to a AI with a 7twist because I enjoy it so much and it was my first deer rifle. Now shooting heavies out of it. And still thoroughly enjoying the 25cm I must admit. A fast twist 25-06 definitely sounds like fun too. Hell just...
Not kifaru packs here but all I use are internal frame packs because needing a pack to haul meat out is probably not happening anytime soon for me. Been using internal frame packs for rucking for years at this point and have zero complaints. Find a good pack that fits you and start moving! I do...
