    Garmin Inreach Explorer+ question

    I used my garmin this past week. Basically turn it on the morning and off at night since we had some cell service up on this particular spot. I was getting four days using it this way and still had about 40% battery. I did bring a small battery power pack and recharged the unit on day five.

    I am currently using the 66i, don't have a ton of time with it yet maybe a weeks actual use, but so far it is working very well for me. Some may not like the idea of everything in one (GPS with onX capabilities and SAT communication) but it's one less piece of gear for me to pack in.

    I am running a Gunfighters Inc. for my G20, so far zero issues. I have worn it while out cutting firewood for the season and scouting everyweekend so far for elk season. It sits behind my badlands bino harness nicely and allows good access should i need it.

    I got mine up and running but did run into something maybe worth noting. I had to purchase a new onX chip, for some reason my old chip didn't work. I called onX and told them my issue and they confirmed the same results.

    I just recieved one of these units today, I am still awaiting for the system to finish it's upgrades although I don't think i will be using the birds eye i just am hoping the features I need work (OnX and communication). The update is telling me 8 hours and 45 minutes. ⏳⏳
