    Mag primers?

I did some testing with my 7 SAUM and my competition 6BRA. For the 6BRA magnum small rifle primers reduced ES and SD. With the 7 SAUM the CCI200 showed a higher SD and ES and group size suffered. Switched to Fed Mag primers and noticed SD, ES and group size shrunk (Using same powder load of...

    NX8 2.5-20 ring height

Recently purchased a NX8 2.5-20 F1 and am looking at what rings to use. It will be on a Zermatt TL3 SA with a 20 moa rail in an XLR chassis. I have read that there is a possibility the scope might make contact with the rail. Can anyone with this combo get me a ring height for Hawkins or...

Best 6.5prc brass to reduce clickers

I also have a 7SAUM and the clickers arrived after 3 firing with ADG brass. Slightly annoying, but I can live with them. From what I've read, they are not going to hurt anything drastically.

Best 6.5prc brass to reduce clickers

I have Lapua brass and after 3 firings the clickers arrived. Moderate load at about 2850 w/156 eol. Gunsmith had reamer and took care of it for $75. Well worth the time to get that chamber right.

    Opinion on Stone Glacier clothes

All the above! I have a pair of De Havilland regular pants and De Havilland Lite. I am wearing a pair of Kuiu Talus Hybrid pants for real late stuff. The De Havilland pants were great for spring bear this year. Pocket design and the full zip vents work great. I didn't need a belt for the...

    2024 Spring Bear Thread

Just returned from my first trip chasing spring bears in western Montana. The weather was typical bipolar Montana with sun, rain, snow and wind. Things really started to green up on day 4. Several areas I had wanted to get to were snowed in (6200'). So on to plans E, F and G. Plan F...
