Sitka Arrowhead Equipment MDWi Hoody Review, By Mike Moore

I've washed mine in cold w/ Nikwax Techwash and then air dried it—no shrinkage; can't help w/ the XXL, maybe give them a call. Usually if you just try stuff on at home, they'll give you a full refund if you don't like the fit

three day trip- under 30 lbs with food and water :)

Well I guess I should update this thread. I'm no longer using the Leupold 20X spotter or the Kramer tripod, instead I'm using a Swaro ATX and an Aziak tripod. This change added 2 lbs weight, but better optics and I can shoot off the Aziak (with a Spartan Davros head). Everything else remains...

Yeah it would work; the Hyperlite keeps the meal warmer as it's insulated though.

    Muscular Endurance for Mountain Athletes

The two hills I'm using has me on my toes (calves fully engaged) probably 25-35% of the route; thankfully not 25-35% straight—nicely sprinkled out instead. I was purposely trying to avoid something so steep that you're on your toes the entire way—you'd have calves like Conan :D, but a lot...

Ouch! Glad you made it out safely. Not just old guys, but anyone venturing into the backcountry should have an inReach or some sat comms- everyone.

    Muscular Endurance for Mountain Athletes

This Traditional endurance training practice derives the ME training effect by doing high-intensity (Z3 and Z4) interval training. When exercising in these high-intensity zones for many minutes, the muscles’ FTa fibers are getting a similar training stimulus as they receive when we isolate them...

Ambient / Active insulation w pit zips?

As a few guys have said the Sitka 75 hoodies (60 is discontinued) are "mapped" with a very light grid fleece along the entire length of the arm pits; it's an easier and lighter solution than zips The other option, already mentioned as well, is a light "naked" Alpha/Evolve with a light windshirt...

Got home last night. We had a great trip; my buddy killed a buck and a doe in the same herd. I was looking for something big and finally found him Sunday evening. The lone buck was on a mission and we couldn't catch him. Turned out he slipped off the property we were hunting onto some winter...
