I have had great luck with RUD Grip 4x4 chains. They are lower profile and not as burly as others.
I put them on all four but I have plenty of room in my wheel wells.
My set up is similar, 465gr arrow at 290fps. NO need for a 20 unless I am hunting turkeys or something else that small. I think it was almost 15 years ago since I had a 20 yard pin.
Exactly why I call ahead of time. It's all fine and well if you have cool temps or an ice cold stream to keep your meat cool but the second that you run out of options, that packer is priceless.
Do it but you have to have your ducks in a row if you plan of killing something.
Along with the rigors of hunting and hauling in camp alone the biggest possible dilemma will be once you have an elk down. Even 2-3 miles in certain terrain/temperature is a problem solo.
All my elk have been...
Move your rest in the direction on the BHs.
So if BH point of impact is left of field point, move rest left. Only move rest in small increments, like 1/32" at a time until the two arrows have the same poi.
Glad you got the right size!
I have longer arms than most humans my height and the large regular length fits me like it was custom made for me. I'm 5'11" 185lb with a 6'2" wingspan
It's not a fleece stalking layer but it's not super loud either. I have heard jackets with WIndstopper in them that were much louder. I would put it equal to the Mountain Jacket for noise.
The EVO pairs very well with the Ambient series. Personally I prefer the Ambient Hoody over the Jacket due to it having a hood and being a little thinner. I like the Ambient Hoody and a thin puffy like the Aerolite for what I do. The EVO does let air move through on the back so if the wind is...
Been using the Yeti 30 Go Boxes since they came out and will be adding the new larger size this season.
Mine have been bouncing around in the back of the truck for 12,000-15,000 miles every fall and I have not had a latch pin or anything else fall out.
They keep everything dry and dust free...

Regardless of the model of pack, I always use a pack large enough to haul out a full load of meat, even day hunting.
Using a smaller day pack is nice for staying light and mobile until you are successful and need to pack out a critter.
I've never had a Kifaru pack that didn't compress tight...
Yeah, I am not wanting to shoot a young ram. That is why I made the post. Any time I draw a tag on a new species I try to learn how to judge them better. I am not afraid to say I have things yet to learn.
There are a few improvements over the Option 8 that are huge for me.
Round housing replacing oval housing on Option 8.
Roamer pin is always centered in housing now.
More travel and potentially more range depending on your set up.
Two sight tape locations so you cold actually use two...
