    How often do you find unrecovered animals?

    Have not archery hunted PA at all this season. First trip in yesterday afternoon to do some stand/blind work. Found dead doe within 10 minutes. No chance for autopsy. Just a head, 2 legs and a big mess of hair where the body should be.

    NR Gen hunting licenses are over 50k. Of course not everyone of them maybe hunting deer. Not sure I've ever seen a NR elk application #. We do get 50k+ people applying for elk Res and NR. Each person can apply for any/all of our 3 seasons, so # of actual applications is >100k. Approx 140...

    I would rather have 84/16 and no wilderness than 90/5/5 and be able to hunt the wilderness. I have hunted in the wilderness many times and it is not worth giving up anything for. Just my opinion.

    Blonde Black Bear

    Rarely here in PA. It has been a very long time since I’ve seen a blonde. IIRC This year in WY I saw a mom with 3 cubs. She and 2 of the cubs were a mottled grayish blonde and the 3rd cub was jet black.

    If the state issues me a tag, I try to fill it. I don't play biologist. As for size/age, I like to kill what is legal and makes me happy. I expect all of you to do the same.

    Not me. I have no doubt it would lead to NR quota cuts and/or outfitter only tags. So even if you win the battle, you will lose the war. NR would end up with some more land they can hunt, and no tag to hunt it with.
