KOWA Flip Up Protective Spotting Scope Lens Covers/Custom Lens Covers

Would like to find a set of flip up lens covers for my KOWA TSN 770 series spotter. Any options out there? Tony, at MK Machining asked to start a new thread on “custom spotting scope lens covers” . Maybe Tony’s company can produce them if he doesn’t already have a model that will fit.

Tony MK Machining , Maybe other KOWA owners will also reply. The KOWA TSN 770 series objective lens outside dimension is 3.66” or around 91.86mm, the eyepiece 2.195” or around 55.35 mm Would want other TSN 770 series owners to verify measurements. Best Elk Hunting Boots With Minimal Break-In For Early Oct. Elk Hunt

I ended up with two pair after mail ordering and trying 8 pairs of boots. It’s not easy finding shops that carry 14D. The most supportive and solid fit are the Crispi Wyoming. I also got a pair for backup , the Salomon Quest 4 GTX that I also like the fit of . Been going on some shorter hikes...

    NWT Moose

The Lancaster’s are good people and a experienced outfitter family. I have been in the Yukon hunting 5 times but the remoteness of the wilderness in the Mackenzie Mtns in the NWT is a whole different level. I spent nearly 4 weeks up there with the Lancaster’s, it’s a wild and special place...

Some concerns about what a reputable gunsmith said about my rifle

You lost me when you said 4+ ounces on a 10+ pound rifle makes a large difference to you.

What is your single best piece of advise before I hunt the first time Longer distance

Practice at 400-500 yds on both windy and calm days. Get to know your rifle and the load you will be hunting with.

Some concerns about what a reputable gunsmith said about my rifle

On a 10 LB. rifle you will never notice the difference in a few ounces of additional scope base/ring weight.

Some concerns about what a reputable gunsmith said about my rifle

What country are you in? Why not use Talley steel bases and rings? I have them on most of my rifles and they perform without issue.

    Tripod Recommendations?

You might be able to do a little better price wise if you purchase a set. I bought one adapter plate for my spotter and two quick release adapters (tripod and window mount) so I can quickly detach the spotter from the tripod and install on my window mount. I feel the OD pkg was $$ well spent.

    Tripod Recommendations?

I bought the tall with the center post extension. Was just glassing up 3 coyotes on the Mtn behind the house with the tripod extended to about 6’. I also got the Outdoorsman pan head. Outdoorsman has some new models out now, but I bought the Gen 1 tripod and pan head and saved a few bucks on the...

Lexus GX-460 or Hyundai Palisade experience/reviews?

Just sold my 2014 GX460 with only 65k. Trouble free! Good 4WD system , quiet interior, okay mpg, always did recommended maintenance. Interior a little cramped but solid vehicle. I would buy another if it fit my needs.

    Tripod Recommendations?

I recently went through the same research/shopping for a high quality tripod that I could use for standing and glassing along with being stable in windy conditions out west. I am 6’4”. Many here recommended the Outdoorsman . I wasn’t sure I would need a tripod that expensive. Real glad I...

    Gunbroker Experiences

🔝 What AXLROD said. Handguns are different than shipping long guns. Consignment at a higher end gun shop that does good volume may net you similar results but longer sale time. There are some great sellers and buyers on GB , but there is a percentage that hit the buy button but don’t have the...

What Nosler bullet do you prefer?

Never lost a animal shot with a Partition, although several required several rounds . One Yukon moose required 5 shots front on before giving up even though he never moved after the first shot.
