What was he told about meat when he talked with the outfitter prior to booking?

Yeah, he clearly ties using more gun than necessary ("insurance") to ethics, which by implication calls into question the ethics of those who don't. All the while providing no justification other than personal anecdotes as to why that is the case.
I have a Maglula and love it, but the double stack version does not work well on the P365 mags because they have a much more distinct taper toward the top of the mag than most no others. This is the one you want, made specifically for the P365...
They sell a loader for those mags on their website, buy one. Dicking with mags/springs is a recipe for malfunctions.
But as was suggested in the prior thread, just because the gun is small doesn’t mean it is a good gun for a woman. Quite the opposite IMO. Great gun, just not for someone without...
At your DL, dropping a bit of arrow weight won’t buy you too much. Lighter shaft GPI often results in less durability, not a good give to get in your situation IMO.
To the OP: if you were on the firing line at the LE firing range and saw or heard a shooter behind you insert a mag into their gun and drop the slide to chamber a round, would you be concerned?
Not an exact analogy, but it might help you get a perspective on the young man from the archery shoot...
