Rent or borrow.
It’s a good option. Touch it. See it. Test it out. Then you can have Some confidence in a decision. Might help?

I used my jacket and pants all season. I had to add a lot of layers to help the jacket keep up. It’s a jacket, not a winter coat.
The pants rode in the pack all season and they were a life saver several times.
Still have the water repelling issue, but on dry days, they were great.

Packed mine all season. Still love them.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the bino case at first. Big and bulky. But the cover is water proof and that kept my glass cleaner than usual.

Agreed! We call it “airport coffee”. When you’re at the hangar, waiting for a flight, anything black and hot can pass for coffee.
There are at least two coffee roasters or maybe three here in my town. My buddy has a commercial roaster, etc. but I’m not packing a pound of whole beans and grinder...
I hold the blade with my right hand, sharp edge facing away. Left hand holds the knife and I lift the back of the blade for removal and pull.
I preload the blade “most of the way”, then hold the knife the same as mentioned above for the final click-back-in-to-place.
Basically, my fingers never...
I think I understand what you’re getting at, but as someone who has the privilege of writing reviews… I don’t give a flipped nickel who pays what.
I want me friends and family to spend their money wisely. I want people to know what a product does well and where it’s weak. My reviews are driven...
I keep my singles at work.
1. I’m selfish and it keeps my family from pillaging my BRCC reserves.
2. When I get a call at 2:00 a.m. I like that I can heat some water and drink quality coffee before we leave!
We’re looking forward to trying these products.

Yes. Tie your stakes close up against the tarp and it pulls the edges of the tarp down low. I have a video ready and I discuss that very thing.
When you shorten your take out ropes, you lose some headroom. If you look at the winter photos above this post you’ll see that guys are closing that...
I agree with the walking stick being more quiet. I have hiking poles 100% of the time when hunting mule deer and they are LOUD. It ads an extra element of failure that the walking stick would avoid. [emoji1360]

I have the Tiger Wall UL3 and I love it. It’s my favorite “go to” tent. If it’s a good price, I wouldn’t wait for another tent

Ok, so moving the vestibule stakes closer to the tent changes the angle and tightens the ridge line between the hiking poles?
That’s awesome. Thanks.
The sag in the ridge one was grinding on my nerves a bit. That’s good info for the review

The Nalgene didn’t freeze solid, but the water was icing up as you can see. That was inside the tent with the edges tight the ground (minimal airflow)

For you guys with photos of the Eolus in the snow, what are you using for your sleep system?
I was using a typical 20° bag. I slept in my BlackOvis Anchor Point down pants and Canis Alps Hooded Down Jacket.
Without the down layers, the colder nights it would have been rough.
