I still have it and we wear it all the time. My freshman son wears it more than I do. I like to know that he’s going to be warm.
Mine isn’t water proof. It’s does shed light rain, but it will get soaked if you don’t protect it. That may have changed with newer versions?
Just FYI, remember...
Had some of the craziest ice I’ve ever experienced. At one point there was a finger or ice growing forward like an antenna. So bizarre.

I apologize for the disappearing act. I didn't intend to go radio silent on you all. Life happens.
I've sent off the review for editing. Let me know what you think when it posts!
I'm curious if you ever got more info on this?
It makes sense that as the sensitivity/precision of these rangefinders increases, fog could become an increasing problem. I assumed that the different modes would address that problem.
Yes, literally middle of the road IMO.
All three have the same ranging speed.
The Viper and the Diamondback both have a very similar reticle.
They both have a 7x magnification.
The Crossfire is 5x and has a t-style Cross reticle.
If Range Mode matters for what you're doing, the Crossfire...
The Optics adage is "You get what you pay for" right? The Viper and Diamondback cost more because they're better. However, if you're truly only shooting to 500 yds, then the Crossfire is a great answer. I really like the reticle, it's light weight, all three of these have crazy fast response...
I have a test I'm working on for that. The response time hasn't been a problem for me. Stability has been a problem though. I have to use the tripod or rest it on top of my spotter. Its too difficult to tell exactly which object is getting ranges when I'm shaking
Archery distance? No. It's not worth the extra. The Crossfire is amazing. So far I think I like it the best for the price. The Crossfire kind of "feels" cheap because it is soooo light. But it has performed amazing. If you're literally only going to use it for archery, the Crossfire is plenty of...

Stand by. I’ll check the model real quick. All I remember is that it is the “long” version. I think it was 11” of extension? Hang tight

I like that the BRCC instant singles aren’t flavored. Not a big deal, but a preference.
Does anyone know for sure…?
It looks to me like the BRCC singles are literally coffee powder. Is there a freeze dried element or “extras” added?

What is HIN?
I saw a guy two summers ago that wore a fly fishing vest that doubles as a PFD. Couldn’t have weighed more than 10-12 oz.
My float trips have primarily been crossing lakes so I didn’t use a PFD. Not wise, but I usually have another boater, the seat on my raft floats and I...
There are several rental companies here in Kalispell. There is one in Columbia Falls too. I think they primarily use Kokopelli for rentals?
Where are you located? If you’re near Kalispell or willing to make the trip, I’d let you use my Ranger for a weekend.

It seems like they literally make a raft for every occasion, but no one can make a single raft for every scenario. (Obvious. I know)
The Alpacka I have seems to be bullet proof. Of course it isn’t, which is why you pack a patch kit, but I never felt nervous running into sticks and rocks or...
