Knight updated their website with Cerakoted Guns

You are far better off with the Nitride. It is far more durable than the alternative. Plus with the Nitride finish your bore is much more protected against fouling and corrosion.

    MZ Regs

The one thing I really do not like about the Idaho rule is the requirement to shoot full bore Lead bullets. I know this is a matter of opinion but I would much prefer any full bore projectile. Second most think there is a gain in velocity shooting caps versus shotgun primers. In most cases...

    Williams FP Legend #54251

This is what I use... and really do like. Not sure Brownells has all of these parts in stock. I do believe MidwayUSA does have all the parts. Williams Front Sight Combinations Two screws for the ramp... These are from Brownells 962-020-097WB Streamlined Ramp 3/16" Screw-on Mfr Part...

    Favorite Open Sight for Inline?

I have but the optic rings in the front sight insert only allow the size that comes with the sight. For me the size of the optic is a non factor because I use a 6 o'clock on the target. With that hold a I create a figure 8 look, So the point I want to hit sits right on top of the optic.

    Williams FP Legend #54251

These pics show another way to make the sight fit the Kevlar stock of the rifle. The method I suggested does not require altering the stock as much. The height of the front sight will make a difference if the bolt modification is necessary. I went with the .343N fiber optic sight as it then...

    Williams FP Legend #54251

O shoot I did send the wrong link... Let me see if I can find the right one... Shoot I can not find the thread with that information... so This picture shows the stock modification I had to do to allow the body of the sight to seat. The next modification is to the sight to allow the bolt to...

    Favorite Open Sight for Inline?

I use the Williams FP - it really is a good one. Lyman makes one that I think is slightly better better but not available for to many rifles or ML's.

    Favorite Open Sight for Inline?

I went with a Williams ramp - fiber optic sight and Fire Sight Hood. I do change the red fiber optic out to a green one for better target contrast. The hood allows light - even low light to illuminate the fiber optic. With this sight set up and looking through a Williams FP it looks...

    45 vs 50 opinions needed

You know what I really stated that wrong... I should have said we can not use a 45 for elk hunting. We can use a 45 for deer. Are you indicating that a 45 can be used for elk in Washington? Idaho and Oregon remain 50 cal. minimum.

    Winchester 209w primers ignite bh209?

I am jumping in here late so give ne a break. I use the W209 all the time and have not had a problem with them igniting BH. With the Lehigh - Knight BP I have shot BH very well with the T7 - BP primers. But I have not tested them in the cold with the black powder primers. It is my belief...

    45 vs 50 opinions needed

I really think Brendan covered what might be said very well. The popularity of the 45 with the newer faster twist barrels is really on the rise. But, here in the Pacific Northwest during ML season we can not use a 45 for hunting elk.

trying to fix Knight Ultra Light misfire problem

O golly! that is way to big of a gap! After seeing that I am afraid the new bolt will not help! You need a longer breech plug. Knight would need to cut you a longer one, which they could not do with out the rifle. There possibly is a short term fix if the new bolt doesn't work. Sending you...

trying to fix Knight Ultra Light misfire problem

I am afraid you are right... I worked with one today that has the same problem. I ended up changing changing hammers in the bolt. I now believe his spring was just to weak. It will certainly work on 209 and primers and I believe it would work with Musket caps. I honestly do not know that the...
