You know if you are getting a smokeless it may be built on a 45-70 barrel and sizing my not be necessary at all. Al it may take to start the bullet is a stiff pop with a short starter to get it through the crown and then down the barrel with the gun rod.
Yes, one pass. You really are not...
You can take it down further if you choose but most often it is not necessary. To take it down further use an Allan wrench and remove the set inside the Secondary Safety. Most like the screw has been set with some form of Lok-Tite - so the first time you try to remove the screw it will take...
Chris to clean the hammer assembly the best way is to remove it from the receiver. At the rear of the receiver there is a knurled knob. Grip the know and turn it CCW to start the removal.

My normal load for elk hunting and what I have also shot deer with...

I have tried a few of them in a water testing program. If you keep the velocity up they work awesome. but when the velocity drops below a given point not much happens.
I think Ron's test shows what I found. Above 1600 fps at impact the bullet works very well. At some point below 1600 fps...
Number one! I am not sure who you talked to at Knight, but I would suggest that send an email to Justin at Knight, using the email address on the site. But be sure to address it to Justin. He may have you send the current rifle back and he will drill and tap it for you.
At this time because...
O yes that is a whole different cleaning routine. And do not for get the trigger it needs to be clean periodically also, as well as the hammer assembly in the bolt.
I have a bunch of 'Help' pics on that but have not got them arranged to be usable yet...
