Shot looks a lot cleaner this go round!
As for training a relaxed forearm, it's not something to focus on when at full draw and shooting at a target downrange. There's only one thing you can fully direct at a time and that's your direction of tension. But you CAN set the tension level before...
Shucks... I've busted out the .44 when the elk hunting was slow and we busted a covey of blue grouse. Head shooting those suckers with iron sights will make you focus on your trigger work, that's for sure!
Why are you not just using Brass HIT inserts with those arrows? They don't bend as easy as the half outs, and keep runout down. They also come in 50/75 grain options, and if you use the Kimsha hot melt, you can swap out as needed.
That's gonna blow through anything. With that much arrow weight, I'd honestly look into the G5 mega meats instead. Momentum is gonna push that sucker through anything, and the mega meat hole is insane.
I have a Black Gold I bought second hand, and the slder pin is my 40, but it's a .10 instead of .19 like the rest, and I hate that pin when shooting distance. You need to be looking through the pin at the target anyways, and letting the pin float. That .10 washes out in midday light, and is...
Joel Turner's ShotIQ is THE system. I had target panic as bad as you, except with a trad bow. I am consistently competitive in 3D tournaments now with my longbows and recurves, and I can shoot animals without flipping shit. All thanks to Joel Turner.
Done went and dry fired my Hoyt RX4 Ultra 10 days before our TX opener.
Was checking peep sight alignment, went to let down and "blammo"! String snapped in three pieces at the speed nock. Remarkably, I can't find anything else wrong on the bow! No cracks in limbs or riser, bent...
Good grief... y'all are some serious haters. I don't give a crap one way or the other about Chris Bee but that buffalo has lungs the size of your kitchen trash can, and you expect it to die fast from a 1" wide slit throuh them?
Come on guys. It's hunting season. There's better things to be...
If there's no trigger, all bets are off on what preignition movements you're going to have. But fixing the elbow might clean it up enough for your liking.
If you are shooting a truly surprise break shot (external trigger of some type, be it limb/grip clicker or grip sear), your hand can only travel in the direction you are applying tension. I don't have much experience with a downward moving hand, but suspect you are overemphasiszing your elbow...
Your body only has so much adrenaline to give... shift work can grind you down to a nub. We took a major pay cut to be a one income household so one of us can stay home with our kids. Little different scenario, but the quality of life discussion is similar. Have not regretted the changes at all.
Stretching is temporary and not much help, unless you strengthen the new range of motion immediately after. My low back and hamstrings finally started behaving properly when I started doing RDL's to increase the resting length of my hamstrings. My hips regained range of motion when I started...
I have been bringing the necessary items to do a euro mount simmer/boil on the tailgate of the truck the last couple years.
I also prefer to cut the back off the skull to get brains out. The euro's mount great on a wall if you cut them at a 30-45 degree angle. It sits flush with the wall, with...
