Thanks for following along guys!
Looks like tag soup for me this year but it wasn’t due to a lack of trying! I’m excited for future seasons chasing these awesome bucks in some beautiful country. Saw the big buck Friday morning but was unable to make a move on him. That “Hunting not killing”...
Im glad you enjoyed the read. I agree 100%. It’s looking like I’m going to get a bonus 3 days to hunt that deer and be in some beautiful country this weekend. A long drive but I’ll sleep better at night knowing I gave it everything I could to get the job done.
I don’t kill snakes either… they...
Let’s all cross our fingers and hope I can finish the story this weekend… Won’t know 100% if I can hit the road and get another chance until Thursday 🤞

If you’re going to thread the 6arc barrel I wouldn’t cut it down any more than 18” and I’d consider shooting something like a 90gr eld-x loaded by Druid Hill (assuming you don’t reload)… Speed kills.
I’d go either arc or 22 creed 20”. Take your pick
Also, it’s probably too late in the summer to hunt bean fields but if by chance you found a bean field that isn’t 4ft tall you could find them coming to that in the evenings.
Sounds tough. Not familiar with Tx public but I figure OK pigs like the same stuff. The thing with pigs a lot of times is they are in the thickest nastiest stuff they can find during daytime. However if I was going to try it I’d key in on waterholes with thick cover around it. There is always...
