Idaho Muzzeloader Buck
Here is my Idaho Muzzeloader buck from October just getting around to posting it.The shot was 130yrds.I got him on day 7 of a 8 day hunt it was a tuf hunt The best buck i had seen up unto this buck was the night before when I got to within 50 yards of a 30 inch 175-180...
That is a great bull .I'm really impressed when I see a bull like that come from a general or easy draw public area very rare.to me your bull blows away those Arizona/ Utah bulls.
Hey Robby,
I'll be checking in and seeing how you do,I want to see lots of pics . I was thinking of doing a muzz hunt in co high country, but my free time in sept will be elk hunting.I too have a muzz hunt in oct.
My goals are # 1 kill the biggest buck I scout during the summer in north dakota with my bow,has to be at least 170#2 kill 175+ buck in eastern montana#3 kill biggest buck I scout in Idaho this summer 180 or bust.
Im excited about getting into the open green hillsides and spot me some bears. To me it is a lot more fun to cruise the country glassing than sitting in a stand all day espeically after sittting on my butt all winter.
I put in for muzzy tags in Nevada in some long shot hunts,Colorado 2nd choice area (still building points).Montana general,Wyoming, and will put in for Idaho.
I use the I use the spot hogg tommy hogg with 5 pins .All I can say is that the sight is outstanding thie adjustments in the field are instantaneous and presise, and plenty of room for long range practice .
I heard rumors of this quite a while ago,I was really hoping it wasn't true. Idaho fish and game shuts down trails that can"t be traveled by a ful size vehical in selected units to moterized use while hunting or heading into a hunting area though you can pack in a legit fulsize camp with a atv...
I run a dry patch after every shot (can go 2 shots without running a patch without any noticable differnce in a hunting situation) and always need a fouling shot after a good cleaning with solivent .In this way I can have around 10 good shots as long as i use a nipple pick after about 5 shots.I...
Nice buck, was it from this year. You got me beat by 26 yards, my shortest was 33 on a small bull. When I get inside 30 my nerves go way up and all i can think about is blowing the stalk.
Hey robby, Heck yeah I cant wait to get back out,Ive been out glassing bulls on the winter range here in Montana the big boys are way up high, barley any snow, weve got a bit more snow up in North Idaho. Mabye more people will leave the scouting to us rather than take a long exspensive trip.
I use the adjustable williams sight, great sight picture at any range as far as I can shoot.I used open for one year no comparison. As far as low light I see better with the williams.
Ive been staying in the Sidney Montana area off and on for the last 6 months, Ive heard great things from years past from the locals, now they say there 80% down. since ive been here along the yellowstone they seem very sparce a long stretch then you will hit a little pocket where there is a...
In the state of colorado Im sure there are at least 5 180 class bucks taken for every 340 class bull, my vote for and even matchup would be 180 vs 320.Each state would be differnt Wyoming 180 vs 340, Montana 180vs360,Idaho 180vs330.
