The SFL’s are a fantastic choice, though I would recommend the 40mm objective over the 30’s. The 40’s are incredibly light and compact for what they are and will work alot better for you in sub optimal lighting conditions.
Havnt listened to it yet, but by your description, sounds like they didn’t want to rock the boat too much. Too bad @Formidilosus wasnt in on that one. They could have atleast kept him in the closet and let him out when it was time to throw down some data.
S2H, Hunt Backcountry, Huberman Lab, Tim Ferriss, Mindful Hunter, The Drive w/ Peter Attia, Non Prophet and Backpacking Light are all on the subscribed list. Occasionally others get a listen if the guest or topic interest me. Apple Airpods Pro are great for listening while working, traveling...
Sounds like this may lend itself to an Arca rail, such as their carbon one, more so than a Rokstok for those of us who shoot from a tripod a lot. I much prefer to have the gun attached to the head closer to the mag well than out near the front.
It fits pretty good. It's slightly long, so you have to make sure that it doesnt slide forward slightly and cover the braked end cap. Mine has gotten a bit damaged when it does.
Brownell's still has 77 TMK's in stock. I ordered some more, for a total of 1500. Going to go with a couple cases of ADI 55 Blitz's to get the new 223 broke in and then recycle the brass.
I think you might find that both your 243 and 223 could be optimized for better wound channels. There’s a ton of info on here to peruse. Thanks for joining in.
You do know that we here are talking about very specific projectiles from each of these calibers. A poor choice in bullet is a poor choice no matter what the cartridge. If you share bullets used in each that you mentioned, then it becomes more relevant info.
And just like that, an email was sent to Jake to put in an order for a factory T3x Lite with the action mods, nitride, barrel cut to 18”, threaded 1/2” and the short bolt handle with 1” knob… basically a match to the 22 CM that they’re doing.
Thanks a lot @SloppyJ 🙄
Well I just got some, thanks to your heads up.. and I dont even own a 223 haha
I guess I need to get on now. Or shoot them in my 22 CM that's being built by UM
I put a 6.5 mm the end cap on the AB 8 .375, thanks to @Cameron.25 It actually made a considerable difference. It’s actually now a lot closer to the Scythe.
I bet the Scythe sounded slightly louder from the side due to the brake end cap.
