Bear attack in Wyoming kills Utah man

I've hunted in the exact spot he was killed, we always have bear encounters in that drainage. It's really not that far from where I live. He made 2 huge backcountry mistakes, went in alone and had no bear spray or side arm. He was suspected of being killed on his first night in. Talked to SAR...

shemagh for late season?

I wear one in the heat of the summer to keep the sun off my neck to January frigid predator hunts, very versatile and cheap to use.

how much does your elk rifle weigh?

My current elk rifles are from 8-9lbs scoped. I had a Kimber Montana in 300wsm with talley LW rings and a 3-9 Swarovski that was great to carry but brutal to shoot and very hard to be stable for extended range shots. It is now at the smith getting a #4 contour barrel in 6.5saum, Hoping it comes...

Swarovski Z5 vs Nightforce NXS

I've owned both, the Nightforce 5.5-22 is really heavy and too large for what you want. The Swaro 3-18x44 with the BRH reticle is the best option in my opinion. Also look at the Nightforce 2.5-10x32mm and 40mm if you want to turn turrets, 10x is plenty for hunting. I've killed elk, deer, and...

Thanks guys, I really do enjoy hunting big Muleys! I got skunked on tags this year so General deer and elk hunts for me and a 3rd choice goat tag. Thanks Trr15, I get that alot. I've done some guiding for friends and family here and there. Couple pics from the last 2 years,
