Sitka Fanatic alternative
Yeah it’s a pullover and not a jacket but with a merino base layer, the fanatic hoodie, and a down vest underneath it I was plenty warm down into the low 20s in Wisconsin. Plus it’s very quiet -

Sitka Fanatic alternative
I picked up the Nomad Cottonwood on sale last year and was really happy with it. Windproof Berber fleece like the Fanatic but for about 1/4 of the price. Only downside is it’s a half zip because it has a kangaroo pocket so getting it on in the tree was a little difficult. -

Wind Shirt Opinions?
Kuiu Peloton 240 if active. Not 100% windproof but definitely very wind resistant as well as breathable and very quiet. Also have a Sitka Nimbus jacket that is a packable windbreaker thats not as quiet but isn’t too bad for a windbreaker shell -

Kuiu strongfleece 210 and peloton 240
240 is better at cutting wind so it goes everywhere with me. But the 210 still has a spot in my lineup where it can replace my softshell when its warmer out or I don't want the bulk. Sometimes wear it as a midlayer too if I plan on shredding off layers throughout the day.
