Synthetic type boot for Alaska sheep hunt?

Not that you’re asking me, but I opted for the LA sportivas, as I heard that those Salewas wore quickly. The Sportivas are holding up really well and are super beefy. I did get the leathers, and didn’t end up with a plastic version

    new strings

What are you guys doing for string care? I used to wax but found that it attracts dust and debris while hunting. I’ve heard mineral oil too?

    Ideas for next duck season…

Gotta throw The Great Salt Lake in there... Overlooked by many but world class hunting. We have such a huge variety here... Cinnamon Teal, GWT, Mallards, Cans', Reds', BB, Tundra Swan, Pintails, Wigeon, Spooners, Ruddy Ducks, Mergies (Red Breasted and Hoodies).... The list goes on. Sunrises and...

    Vehicle insurance claim

@IDVortex What color is your bed? Length? There seem to be a lot of takeoff beds around SLC due to all of our contractors installing boxes on their trucks. Call a company that installs boxes... they usually sell their take offs.

Anyone regret going from 3500/2500 series to a 1500 series?

Went from an older 2500 to a newer f150. No regrets. I did get the longer bed, full cab, and did air bags and a level kit. So I might as well be driving a 3/4 ton again😂 However I love the turbocharged engine, love the ride quality, and when properly set up I “could” pull over 10k. Anymore these...

    Wood Ducks

Killed in MT? I believe it. No fences In the sky What’s the story on those? Where is there native range? Or do they all derive from pens and just reproduce in small numbers in the wild?

    Wood Ducks

Awesome Photos! We have a few woody's around where I live but not many. A few guys shoot a few each season early on. Never had the luck of taking one or seeing one in the wild. I did kill a Old Squaw juvenile drake this last fall. Thats pretty rare. Cool Photos.

What distances are E-bikes really needed?

Actually not trolling. It was a genuine question. I had purchased an ebike after some friends told me they were the cats meow... I quickly realized it wasnt legal and had buyers remorse. Glad I sold it.

What distances are E-bikes really needed?

@idahodave is it true that you can use an e bike on a non motorized trail if it doesnt have a throttle and is a pedal assist only?

What distances are E-bikes really needed?

I purchased one not realizing that they were classified as motorized. After 1 hunt, I realized I was hauling around a 3k paperweight that I couldnt use anywhere that a fourwheeler or dirtbike would go! I did find that they were extremely useful if you could find a motorized road that hadn't...

Stone Glacier Tokeen 2600 Day Pack Review ***Updated 7/21/24***

@mtwarden does this pack have a load shelf? I don’t feel like it does but there aren’t great pictures of the frame on the website. It seems like it’s enough to do a single overnighter, but I’m curious to know if you could pack a quarter in that thing?

    Does Stone Glacier have sales?

SG is an interesting company. I’ve been following them closely for 2-3 years. Most of their gear I have is pretty awesome. I am a bit concerned with innovation and quality that they are making all kinds of stuff. Often when companies get involved in selling lots of “stuff” their quality and...

    Does Stone Glacier have sales?

The M5s are on sale because they are an older model. Not that it matters. Still a great pant.

2024 Wyoming elk draw trends General

Just a guess; I think special will stay good for a year or two; until people see an amount of point creep in the regular for General elk. Point systems are susceptible to inflation.
