    300 WSM - Your Velocities?

I've owned 6 or 7 different 300 WSM's and handloaded for all of them going back to 2001 when I got my first. I don't bother (ever) with 0.1 grain increments when handloading. It's a waste of time for a hunting rifle. I load up or down in 0.5 grain increments. Saves time, money and aggravation...

    Upcoming reloading shortages

I loaded up on components years ago. It had nothing to do with fear, or what political administration was in office. I've never bought right wing "the sky is falling" rhetoric. I found it simpler to buy in bulk knowing I'd have what I wanted in the future when prices would inevitably rise, and...

Montana Rifle Company Junction 308Win Field Evaluation

In post #6 he's shooting 176 A-tips, so that's what got me confused. Now that I've had a cup of coffee I can indeed notice that's no 308 cartridge lol.

Montana Rifle Company Junction 308Win Field Evaluation

If that's where the 176 Atip touches the lands, I'm doubtful that's a standard 308 SAAMI chamber. Good news for those of us that dislike all the 308 freebore.

7mm-08 Rem success on big game

The usual suspects here with their usual great results :) I'm a 308 Win guy, but I have slummed a 7-08 😁 150 NBT / 2,700 fps - I snuck up on him and shot him at 40 yards as he was standing angled-away. Bullet penetrated 32" and was under the offside scapula. Dead elk.

Are there and well seasoned/expert 375HH reloaders here?

Same here. I've had several. It's really no different to load for than any other belted cartridge. Perhaps you could share the details so it could be a learning experience for everyone?

    Alliant Powder (RL) Rumors...

I've seen here and on other forums rumors that Alliant is quitting the civilian powder market. Rather than participate in the rumor mill I decided to reach out to Alliant direct via email. Here's the exchange: Me: Hi, I’d like to set the story straight on various online hand loading forums -...

What caused the Rokslide shift to smallest caliber and cartridges?

And going back further, in the early 1950's my father was a pilot flying out of Billings (Lynch's). One of his jobs was flying groceries and mail to snowed-in ranches (on skis). After the goods were delivered, as anyone that's been around ranching or farming knows, it's customary to sit in the...

Scope Mounts for Kimber Mountain Ascent

I've had at least 30 pairs of Talley's, including over 15 on various Kimber's. If you lightly lap them and use a torque wrench you'll not have a problem.

Craziest mountain flying video you’ll ever see!

Apart from crappy airmanship, the Cessna 150 ain't much of a mountain plane, and that's a fact.

    Getting paid ! Construction industry.

A lot of unknown's here, but of course that doesn't stop people who know nothing about it from sharing their ideas - everyone can have an opinion, but not all opinions are created equal. I'm a General Contractor, but I've also been in your position (in my case as a finish carpenter). When I...

    Ultralight Tripod Options

For lightweight tripods I genuinely dislike carbon fiber - they're expensive, and more importantly, require screw-adjustments on the leg sections rather than flip locks. Do yourself a favor and keep an eye out for older SLIK aluminum models. Either the Slik 500G-7 or 500G-FL. I picked both of...
