    Once you've gone to a bullet like that, it'll likely penetrate plenty. It's wide meplat might cause feeding issues. Definitely shoot it a bunch before you rely on it.

    If this was at my comment, I was saying it's a bad decision, but it might be the best choice given. Shooting a firearm in self defense can be quite necessary, it doesn't make it a good thing.

    Shooting someone (justifiable or not) is probably going to be a bad decision. It might be the best decision you can make, but still a bad decision. I'm glad Cal is ok. Stuff can be replaced. Just because you can shoot someone doesn't mean you aught to.
