I said I would post how things went. My tapering a week before was just fine. Legs withstood brutal Colorado terrain, however our initial hike in was hell. My lungs were on fire from the altitude change. Next time I will plan on getting there a day or two earlier to acclimate. Full moon didn't...
Great question/topic.....listening to your body I think is key. If you're feeling sore just do something light walk a mile get the blood flowing. I would personally back off the weight lifting a week prior.
I tapered off this last week focusing more on stretching and drinking more water. Did...
Interesting info....as an avid weight cutter (wrestling) my whole life I found pedialyte packets worked effectively. I have switched over to Skratch recently. It may not be the best but I like offsetting drinking some down and then adding more water on top. Predominantly drink water at home but...
Great story(S)....I went in SW Montana back in 2019 through a guide and man I was glad I went through one on my first hunt. It was a humbling experience! Not for one second did I not acknowledge I could've easily went home empty handed but even if it was the case.... I got to hunt with my Dad...
my brother in law is a high profile MMA fighter, he swears by the cold plunge....diet definitely plays a role like others have said. Unless it gets real bad I'm not getting in one lol. I will stick with ice packs when needed.
Think running in general over time depending on how often you do it can take its toll on your knees/joints. Treadmill running for me is just boring, I need to be going places. I run paved roads in the summer but definitely watch my top knot with all the morons driving out there. Just like...

I have the hardscrabble pants, sizing was awkward so I just use them as a backup to my KUIU pants. I bought a base layer T from them and just didn't like the material. That being said, their gear seems of quality but not much difference in price from KUIU/First Lite.
I was in the anti running camp until a couple months ago....I still have somewhat of a gut on me but I ran 5 miles (farthest distance in 10 years lol) the other day at about a 9 minute pace and felt good. Think I am getting closer to where I want to be.
I've mentioned this in another post...
I just bought two Exodus rival cell cams.....they are performing very well. I will say they are pricey but you get what you pay for. They have a 5 year warranty if you register them online. Smaller company too.
Thanks for the responses! I did see that fenix 6 solar is on sale for $399....big difference between the instinct and the fenix 6? I'm not penny pinching and seems the $399 is a damn good deal but like most I can get easily carried away buying hunting gear lol.
