Lol I don't even have a personal Instagram. And if you don't understand how an analogy works you probably should not try to weigh in on a debate with multiple nuances
Fwiw my definition of success on a hunt changes regularly. First time in a new area I may consider seeing an animal successful. Other times it may be an opportunity whether or not I choose to shoot.
Well that gives me a better understanding of where your thought process is, thinking things are black and white. No more replies needed if you can't think from a different point of view
Having a trail overcrowded could 100% affect the success of the ride, it depends what your definition of success is (as in hunting). As with any analogy it does require some flexibility in the critical thinking skills (which I may have overestimated) of the reader, but the point is overcrowding...
I think there is one major benefit from this discussion- bringing awareness to potential overcrowding. I'm one of the people that is hopefully ruining your spots because I'm the new guy and I'm totally cool with that-sorry. But honestly the increase in hunters and pressure is laughable compared...
My boss keeps getting me good stuff (pappy, woodford, heavens door) for any reason (christmas, birthday, any work milestone lol). At a christmas gift exchange I got a thing of jim bean and couldnt even drink it. I told my wife my taste has gotten much more expensive-
Alternative viewpoint here (but mostly devils advocate as I dont really do much social media). I am still a relatively new hunter (less than 10 years) initially found Cam Hanes and Dudley and Snyder- got into archery and since moved into Trad archery (yes almost directly because of the way...
1.5 years- was at the old job 7 years before that and dont think I would have made it one more day-sometimes I find myself daydreaming about "moving up" but man I love what I do now- I think its still a carryover from hating the old job so much
I switched last August, 30 years old 2 kids left teaching for a commission only job. No degree required just had to get licensed. First 6 months were tough, had to dip into savings. But as I'm nearing the end of my first calender year I've nearly tripled my income. Lotta work, and stress- but...
Im in Lynchburg VA- basically the middle of your too options unfortunately. But honestly I love it here- outside of one of the outdoor meccas (Utah, Colorado, ect) I can think of a place I would rather be- I have the Appalachian mountains to try to hunt (i still cant figure them out and always...
That's what kicked off my search in earnest. The 2022 frontier looks awesome, but now that I'm going full sized I almost certainly have to go used, can't spend $55k+, (although the frontiers aren't that far off from that!) So the search for the right full sized truck at the right price begins..
Well you guys have echoed what Ive heard but was trying to avoid listening to- just go full sized. So thats the new plan. Now comes the waiting game of trying to find an appropriately priced one that has the features I want...fingers crossed- Ive been scouring facebook, craigslist, and a few...
ok so If im going to go full sized am I better off buying say a 2019 Nissan Pro 4x, or saving the $$ and buying a mid grade truck and throwing on lift, tires, and a locker?
Surprised to hear all the F150s - I thought they had were having big time problems, I know there is more of them out there so you hear about more problems but when my buddies had to get towed the tow truck driver said it was his 5th of the day or something crazy.
I do think I would lean more...
So, I've been waiting for a while and finally have a job that gives me some extra change. I'm still very budget conscious so am looking for the "best bang for the buck". Here are the boxes to check-long term reliable, daily driver, 4wd (almost certainly want rear locker), room for carseat in...
I certainly do, Im still new (just over a year) and have no coaching, just trying to learn from Tom Clumm Podcasts and youtube. What type of video (over the top, from the side behind?)
