At 25” you’re almost into adult bow range. In my experience Bowtech has some of the smoothest draw cycles out there. You might peruse last years models for one that goes down to that poundage and draw and look for one used. The Infinite edge (or its successor) is commonly recommended if you go...
After my second pair of Bose ear buds died I went this way, and so far so good. I really like them. No verdict on durability but I like that you can still maintain some awareness of your surroundings unlike wearing earbuds (at least that was my experience).
If you want to go this route and dial exact yardages the best option (I’ve found) is a dual indicator set up. Spot Hogg, MBG and Axcel all offer options like this. You then have the ability to use both your top and bottom pins as rovers. So, in my case I have a 5 pin 20-60. Out to 60 if I...
Also worth noting on the AZ EZfletch models is that to get max helical you should use the shortest model possible given vane legnth. In other words if you used blazers in the mini you’d get more helical than in the pro. Conversely, if you wanted “offset” you could use the longer model.
I like the shrewd design, easy to get tight and stays tight but also easy to adjust. Some models that are tapered wedge together so tight you have to tap them apart to adjust. Aae and Bowfinger also make good designs
Maybe Maven? I know they’re made overseas, but might be Japan/Taiwan not China. Worth a look. I’d buy them before many other brands. I have a pair of their B series 8x42 that I really like for a lightweight bino. Those are above your price point but the C model looks to fit the bill. They...
It’s not easy especially in inflationary times. Watching ads, stocking up during sales and buying bulk have always been our staples. Places like Costco can at times save vs the corner grocery but you have to watch. Having a freezer and breaking proteins down into smaller packages helps so you...
I haven’t spent any time in SE, but I have spent the bulk of my life west of the cascades in Oregon and Washington. If it’s raining that hard, you’ll want bombproof and venting over breathable and quiet. There’s nothing worse than being wet, and hypothermia can be a real concern in mild temps...
This is where I am at. Reality is either are fine. I do my own bow work and a limb driven is very easy to ensure it works properly, and field repairs should they be needed are possible without pressing the bow.
True, but-
I have a 0* Wiggy’s and I wouldn’t want to take it on a backpack trip. Even in a compression sack it would take most of any reasonably sized pack.
I know this piece is brand new.
Wondering if anyone has had a chance to check it out vs the Peleton 240?
I’ve been eying the 240 for awhile now as a dual purpose mid/light duty outer layer.
This new piece seems to be in the middle between peleton and strongfleece?
