    Kifaru Belt Sizing Question

I am very close to in between sizes. Wondering if it’s better to go up or down? Medium is 34-38 and Large is 39-46. I wear a size 38 in jeans but generally wear the belt on my pack a bit higher up. Are the straps on the large bottomed right out at 39? Are the straps on the medium maxed out at...

    Blacks Creek Lumbar Pack

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Blacks Creek Cure Lumbar Pack? I’ve been contemplating a lumbar pack for quite awhile now but haven’t really liked most of the ones I’ve came across. I really like the idea of being able to pack out a quarter with this one. I haven’t found...

    Vortex Razor UHD vs HD’s

Just looking to get some opinions on whether or not the Vortex Razor 10x42 UHD binoculars are $1000 better then the HD’s. I haven’t been able to do a side by side comparison and was hoping some folks on here have and could give me some of their thoughts. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Splitting mauls

I’ve got a small splitting axe that Husquavarna makes. It’s hand forged in Sweden and is quite a bit cheaper then a GB. Works great on smaller, fairly dry rounds and is small enough to pack if a guy really wanted to. They do make a bigger one as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Bear Gun

Hey all, I do a fair bit of hiking, fishing and scouting in grizz country. I currently have a 12 gauge Mossberg Maverick 88 that I carry with me, loaded with slugs, in case I happen across a grizzly that decides it wants to eat me. I’m thinking about replacing it with a Marlin 1895 guide gun or...

What does everyone do for a living?

Red Seal Steamfitter. Worked construction in the oil and gas industry for years chasing the dollar all over hell’s creation. Finally took a maintenance job at a refinery. Definitely gives a guy more time to do the things in life that truely matter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Alternative food to mountain house/backpackers pantry type meals

Ramen bomb. The primary form of the bomb is: -A pouch of instant mashed potatoes -A ramen brick, with or without the flavor packet -Some kind of meat, usually left over chicken!!! But it could be what ever you want -Many people will also add cheese. Throw it all in a big ziplock freezer bag...

    Advice/Tips for skiddish kids

My little girl (7 years old) has always been hesitant because she doesn’t like the loud bang and is worried about the kick. We’ve gotten as far as shouldering the lil rascal 22 and looking through the peep site but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I think positive reinforcement and letting her...
