I've owned and used them on various hunts over the last couple years. I'm satisfied with them for what they are... a great unit handicapped by FCC regulations.
A few words of personal experience:
The unit has variable output power, up to 5 watts. Since the unit communicates over radio...
Yes, it's been done before.
Here's a past thread on some midlayers.

Eddie Bauer has some merino bottoms that have the seam running down the outside of the leg. I took a pair, opened the seam and then added a #3 zipper...
I'm not aware of any SOS device that also does satellite imagery. So I think that leaves you with phone and GPS options. Have you checked out BirdsEye by Garmin? I believe the satellite imagery is compatible with the Oregon unit you already have. $30/year subscription. You can also put all your...
If you like the Kuiu design, you may want to consider the Muley Freak design. It's similar in that it opens away from the body, but the straps are attached to the pack instead of the binos, so they binos can be removed and put on a tripod.
Also, I believe there was a thread on here where...
I emailed Bushnell awhile back for the same information. Here's the values they sent in MOA:
Zero - 0
2nd - 1.4
3rd - 3.4
4th - 6.2
5th - 9.6
6th - 13.8
Their app is also pretty good, although I get slightly different values. I haven't had a chance to verify with Bushnell or in the field.

Side attachment consists of some webbing, a triglide, and an extra buckle. Fully removable and adjustable from both ends of the strap.
Picture of the top attachment with the sleeve over the bag.
Two more straps and quick release hardware allows the bag to be used in sling mode. Again...
The next step was the trickiest. Not difficult, but patience is important. I removed a couple inches of stitching from each side of the bag and in the middle. This was so the ends and top of the sleeve could be sewn into the bag.
The final product after sewing.
Other than removing some...
We've had our share of frankenpack threads over the years, might as well add this one to the list. This project develop because I wanted to use the K2 frame with a larger bag that had a horseshoe zipper. I was stuck between the 2000 being too small and Exo not offering larger bags with the...
