It is a long action. 300 Win Mag. I wasn't able to get very detailed with it, but I did a quick measurement before I headed out the door. It looks like it is roughly 3.70"
The Jetboil Flash and MSR Pocket Rocket 2 are my favorites. I actually find myself liking the Pocket Rocket 2 a little more at times due to just the size of it and how simple it is. I primarily only use both to boil water, so not super extensive use but neither have failed me.
I am 5'10" 165 pounds and wear a medium in everything. My Stratus jacket in medium allows me layer to room and is definitely cut with more room than my Jetstream. My Jetstream is a large and fits great.
I owned a Zeiss V4 and was very happy with it. Like mentioned above, it is their entry level glass, but I was very impressed with it. I never felt like I was missing out on clarity while using it. I believe it is one of the best values in scopes at its price point.
Like many have already mentioned, Aero is good stuff. I have built a couple of rifles using their lowers, including the one you mentioned, and haven't had any issues.
I have owned and carried a Glock 43 and Glock 48. Loved them both but finally handled a Sig P365XL and fell in love. I carry it appendix and believe it is the best EDC pistol there is.
I have a Premier Highlander. It is a stainless action that has been cerakoted, same as the barrel. It also has a sliding plate extractor. I love this rifle and believe they offer similar performance as custom rigs that cost more.
I have a Highlander. I just grabbed a tape and measured it. There are 3 1/2" from the end of the barrel to the start of the fluting. This is with the thread protector screwed on. Hope this helps.
Also, just a heads up, I love the rifle. I think you'll be pleased if you get one.
Thanks everyone for the replies so far. I am leaning to the 3-12x however it is only available in a duplex reticle. Would this severely limit me for longer range shots?
Hello everyone,
New poster here but familiar with the forum. Hoping to get some guidance on scope selection. I have decided on the Zeiss V4, but I am undecided on either the 3-12x44 or 4-16x44 model. Being in the Southeast, most of my shooting will be 300 yards and in, however I do have trips...
