MT general season buck. Found him in August and hunted him during archery but had to eventually wait until general season.

I’ve got a pair of 33R OC mountain pants I’d like to trade for 32R of the same pant. I’ve got the knee pads as well. I don’t care about color. Will post pics later. Willing to sell. $170 TYD OBO

What he said. I live in the Castles, just south of the Little Belts and it is incredible how many people are there for general season. Archery this year was full as well.

Just about every older guy I talk to around town here in White Sulphur Springs, MT has shot and killed elk successfully with a .243. Majority seem to shoot anything from 80-100 grain. They keep the shots shorter and make sure to get multiple rounds in them.
Biggest advantage of vortex RF’s is the warranty. Not sure on the other companies but I think vortex is one of the few with a lifetime on electronics. My 1500 reads reliably at 800 but not much past.

Rained again another .5"-.8" in Meagher County. Looks like it slowed up the Woods Creek Fire a bit, but it's supposed to be in the mid 80's this week with wind so I'm sure it'll keep going. Little Belts have gotten quite a bit of rain for those guys that hunt that. The Castles have gotten some...
Rained in Meagher county couple days ago, around .6”-1.5”. Unfortunately it didn’t hardly touch the Woods Creek fire in the Big belts and I’ve been told it’s still going strong. Thought I’d update you guys.

Spoke to a rancher near the Woods Creek fire. He said the firefighters were pulled off from the fire due to lack of resources so it looks like it's going to burn until mother nature puts it out. It's at 12k acres right now and gaining steam. I'll try to keep you guys updated with these fires...
