This is not meant to be an insult, but unfortunately, odds are it's just you. Certainly check that scope to base to action to stock connections are all tight; but that's probably not the issue. Barrels needing fouling is much rarer than some claim. If most guys were more honest and self...
FYI, sealing the inside of the seams was correct. That's why you pitch it inside out, to get the inside of the seams properly stretched and so you can really rub that seam sealer in good. The seam sealer is to keep water from traveling through the stitch holes. There shouldn't be any possibility...
Finally got an excuse to sleep on it last night. First time I've ever felt warmer on my underside than my top side. Got down just barely to freezing, probably a little warmer under the softopper, but not much. Run a marmot phase 20, also the first time at freezing or below that I haven't had to...
It's called your mouth. Nobody in their right mind shares sporks with other than their spouse, so what's the issue? Dishwasher when you get home.

9 lbs is far from best in terms of weight. Exo should be around 5/6. Same for stone glacier, mystery ranch, seek, kifaru. If you're able, definitely do a quick test run with 80 lbs (at least 50) prior to purchase. I was able to do so with mystery ranch, exo, and stone glacier. I liked how stone...
Unfortunately didn't make a back up plan, and public land near private was overrun with private lessees, a couple of which decided to be real a-holes. Was feeling peaceful for the weekend, so decided to say to heck with it rather than fight about it. So no cold test yet; next weekend . . .

Wow. Just wow. got this thing in the mail, will field test this weekend, but blew up and laid on a minute, and crazy the heat you can feel building on contact points. Thermarest gives it a 5.7 r value, and I'm thinking that's legit. I'd point out a thermarest 2 r value rated foam pad feels...
I don't treestands, but I've seen them first hand folded down, and I can't imagine why the sg meat shelf, with a couple additional straps going across (which you can easily do without any bag attached) wouldn't work perfect

I actually feel like the x curve is more comfortable once I get over 50 lbs. With just camp on, there isn't enough weight to force the belt down onto the hips, and I get just a tinge of pain in my midback, like I used to get at all weights with my old Cabela's external frame. Certainly don't...
Varies brand to brand, but seems all paraframe style broadheads generate some wind noise. Curious if anybody is an audio physicist or something like that and knows if sound waves from these broadheads in flight project forward, or only to sides/backwards?

Don't waste time and money on the look cool tires that everyone else runs. Get coopers. St Maxx for better road manners (as good as any lower traction a/t on road, but with better off road traction than most m/t). Stt pro if you want more traction in every type of condition/terrain than all but...
I WAS WRONG. At least with dual cam rh beyond 30 yards. I still know with my old single cam Bear I chased field tips successfully out to 30 yards. And that seemed to me it was working for my bowtech prodigy out to 30 yards. But I've come to find that tuned at 30 IS NOT TUNED. That prodigy is...
Do not buy any mainstream non hunting Merino in an effort to save money. Trust my negative experiences on that. First lite seems to be the only company that has figured out how to make halfway durable ultra fine Merino. I don't know what some folks are thinking about pant durability and sizing...
Unless you've got extra weights added in the front end, might think about still going with 125 to get sufficient FOC

Love my Greek yogurt for probiotics, and the extra protein don't hurt. Have seen some powdered and freeze dried options, but unclear whether probiotics are surviving drying or freeze drying. Anybody find a good option for backcountry Greek yogurt with probiotics intact?

Get that 6900 on x curve and don't look back. My best outdoors purchase yet. First pic is scouting day trip. Water inside, optics outside. Spotter, pad, phoneskope in pocket on side not showing. Sure looks and felt nicely compressed to me. Second pic is a fishing day trip. Waders vest water...
Might take too much time, but seek has bug netting for the doors as an option on many shelters. Doesn't add much weight, and it works great. Flies mosquitoes etc really don't have the brain power to figure out to crawl underneath. Great thing about seek is the extra couple inches on the bottom...
Wasn't saying it can't be done, and it would take a big elk to go 300 lbs of meat, was just saying, as a preface, that half of an elk may not be an appropriate standard to judge any pack by.

I guess I should have said, don't look OR FEEL any different. Obviously the weight felt heavier, but the belt, shoulder harness, etc all felt just as robust, didn't feel like failing or twisting or buckling or otherwise giving out in any way.
